Hey everybody!
We are looking for a new flatmate for our spacious 3-bedroom apartment in Friedrichshain. The room is available from 01.04.2022 (move-in slightly flexible).
It is a huge room with big windows for lots of light. The room is mostly furnished (bed, sofa (not in the picture), TV table and wardrobe (in the picture) and the apartment has all the normal stuff: washing machine, oven, induction hot plate, etc. There's an interior courtyard where you can keep your bike.
The apartment is on the third floor (no elevator), upstairs from the bar/club Süss War Gestern; it is a lively neighborhood and the flat isn't the quietest, but it is very comfortable and looks out onto a relatively calm cobblestoned side street.
There's a big kitchen where we sometimes like to drink, cook and chat together. We're all friendly and open but respect each other's space—we've all got our own thing going on :)
The rent is €550 including gas/water, plus internet and Rundfunk. You would have a separate contract, and Anmeldung IS available.

We live 12 minutes walking from the S-Bahn stations Ostkreuz and Warschauer Straße. The tram M13 is right at our doorstop too.
The apartment is just a couple of blocks from Boxhagener Platz, so there are all sorts of great restaurants, bars, cafés and stores around us. There is an Aldi just a few minutes walk away.
You will be living with Marina (30). She is an Armenian freelance writer who spends most of her time working on poetry/essays and collage art. She smokes and also bakes and is always looking for book recommendations.
You will also be living with one more, new person, as two rooms will be free at the beginning of April.
We tend to speak English at home. As a flat, we occasionally like to get together in the evening around the kitchen table—or plan a little excursion to the lake or the park—but we respect each other's privacy and have our own lives. We don't keep a strict cleaning schedule but everyone does their bit.
Marina is looking for someone easygoing to join for the long term. If this sounds like it might be you, please write to us and start your message with the word "potato".
We have another room coming up in the apartment—slightly smaller, but with a small balcony—beginning of April. If you are a pair of friends both looking for rooms in the same WG, feel free to write to us too!
