Das Zimmer ist gut geschnitten und geräumig, hat hohe Decken und Dielenboden sowie ein großes Fenster zur Straße raus. Dadurch, dass wir im Erdgeschoss (Hochparterre) sind, ist es aber leider z.T. etwas dunkler. Das Zimmer ist nicht möbliert.
Bezüglich des Mietvertrags ist es aktuell noch etwas kompliziert und unklar. Momentan sind wir alle Untermieter, und bekommen keine Wohnungsgeberbescheinigung vom Vermieter und sind hier nicht gemeldet. Der Hauptmieter wohnt nicht mehr hier, er möchte aber gern perspektivisch die Wohnung übergeben. Somit wäre es dann möglich, den Mietvertrag mit zu übernehmen, sodass z.B. zwei Leute Hauptmieter*innen sind. Das ist aber alles seit längerer Zeit in Klärung und der Prozess und das Gespräch mit der Hausverwaltung noch nicht angestoßen.

The room has high ceilings, one big window facing the street and is spacious. Because it is the first floor, sometimes not so much light would enter, but it's still fine. The room is not furnished.
Regarding the contract, it is a little bit unclear right now. Right now we all have sub-contracts with the main tenant and do not get the document "Wohnungsgeberbescheinigung" which you need for registration in Berlin (Anmeldung). But the main tenant, who is not living here anymore, wants to "transfer" the main contract to us, for example, two of us. But he did not yet ask the Hausverwaltung and this is still a process that needs to be done and has not yet started.
Die WG liegt zwischen Boxhagener Platz und Ostkreuz. Die Straße ist relativ ruhig, die Müllabfuhr hört man ab und zu im Nachbarhaus. Man ist direkt am Geschehen und mitten in Friedrichshain. Ostkreuz mit S-Bahn, U-Bahn, Zug und die U Samariterstr. sind gut zu erreichen. Tram- und Bushaltestellen sind auch super nah. Und es gibt alles drumherum, was man braucht.

The shared flat is located between Boxhagener Platz and Ostkreuz. The street itself is rather quiet, but there will be people walking outside and talking as bars and restaurants are just around the corner. You will also hear the garbage collection in some mornings.
U-Bahn Samariterstr. and S-Bahn Ostkreuz are within 8-10min walking distance. Tram- and Bus stops are just around the corner. Everything you need is close.
Wir sind eine internationale, bunt gemischte WG. Elsa ist 24 und studiert im Master Sozialwissenschaften, sie interessiert sich für Klima- und Nachhaltigkeitsthemen und geht in ihrer freien Zeit gerne zu elektronischer Musik tanzen oder ist mit dem Fahrrad und an den Berliner Seen unterwegs. Sebastian ist 23, kommt aus Luxemburg (mit mexikanischen Wurzeln) und studiert Film mit Fokus auf Regie. Massimo ist 33 und aus Italien. Er ist Mathematiker, ist aber seit längerer Zeit zu Hause und auf Jobsuche.
Wir sprechen Deutsch und Englisch in der WG, Massimo kann natürlich auch Italienisch. Vorher hat noch Laura hier gewohnt, die nun auszieht.
Wir sind irgendetwas zwischen Zweck- und freundschaftlicher WG. Vor allem Elsa und Laura haben öfters zusammen gekocht und bei einer heißen Tasse Tee in der Küche gesessen und gequatscht. Wir sind aber auch alle viel unterwegs, gerade Massimo ist immer wieder für mehrere Woche in Italien bei Familie und Freunden.
Was Putzen und sonstige WG-Orga angeht, sind wir relativ undogmatisch und haben verschiedene Sachen ausprobiert. Wir sind aber auch generell offen für Ideen und Veränderungen, was den WG-Alltag angeht und freuen uns, wenn sich die neue Person in der WG einbringt :)

We are an international WG with Elsa, Sebastian and Massimo. Elsa is 24 years old, studying social sciences and interested in climate- and sustainability topics, in her free time she likes dancing&electronic music or spending time at the lake. Sebastian is 23 and he is studying film with a focus on directing. Massimo is 33, mathematician but since quite a while he is at home and looking for a job. We normally speak German and English in the flat, Massimo can obviously speak Italian. Laura used to live here and she is now moving out.
We would sometimes eat together in the kitchen, have a tea and a chat together, especially Elsa and Laura used to. But we are also on the road a lot, especially Massimo is often in Italy for several weeks, visiting friends and family. Regarding cleaning but also living together we are quite open for changings and trying things out :)
Wenn du Interesse hast, schreib gern ein bisschen über dich. Die Castings würden wir gern am Dienstag, 13. September, Freitag 16. September und Montag 19. September abends machen. Bitte dazu schreiben, wann es dir passen würde. Wir wissen, dass der Dienstag sehr kurzfristig ist, da Massimo ab Mittwoch in Italien ist und dann nur noch per Zoom teilnehmen kann, würden wir uns aber freuen, da schon einzuladen, falls es jemandem spontan passt. Ein digitales Treffen per Zoom / Skype geht auch. Der Einzug ist zum 1. oder 10. Oktober (wahrscheinlich 1., aber das wird bald feststehen). Wir freuen uns auf eure Nachrichten. :)

If you are interested, please write a bit about yourself (how you would describe yourself, interests, what is important for you if you live together...). We will do WG-castings on Tuesday 13th, Thursday 15th and Monday 19th, in the evenings. Tuesday is very spontaneous but would be nice to have people here since it is the last day where Massimo can take part in Person and not via Zoom. Please also let us know which day(s) you would be available for the casting. Digital meet up via Zoom is also possible. Moving in (&contract) is from the 1th or 10th of October (probably 1th, but we will know soon). We are looking forward to your messages! :)
