Apartment:
The apartment is renovated in 2022. Size of the kitchen is 11Sqm (furnished) and bathroom is about ~9Sqm. There is a secondary toilet accessible via kitchen in the apartment. In addition, there are three rooms in the apartment. Two of the rooms in the apartment (referred as Bedroom 1 and Living room, total 30Sqm) are rented by the main tenant. Third room (referred as Bedroom 2, 22Sqm) is available for rent for the long term (Initially 6 months, permanent in case both tenants get along well).
The size of the Bedroom2 is approx. 22Sqm. Bedroom 2 is renovated in 2022 and has a large window. It is completely furnished and basically ready to move in. It has IKEA double bed (see pictures), IKEA cupboard, Istanding-desk, convertible sofa-bed, swivel monitor, lights, and small book shelves. New tenant will have to purchase the furniture from existing tenant. The price of the furniture is yet to be decided and will be communicated during the visit. The monthly rent is €850, which includes everything - internet, electricity, heat, water, and radio tax. A deposit of 2 months is required to be paid before moving in.
The Kitchen:
The kitchen is being fully furnished and you have the option of adding your personal touch. It has new IKEA fittings, a microwave, rice-cooker, kettle, refrigerator, washing machine (without dryer) and a new stove/oven. We do not have dish-washer. There's plenty of storage and cupboards for both tenants. Kitchen has enough plates, glasses, and utensils for two. Kitchen also has pots/ pans for two at the start but it’s recommended you bring your own pots/pans for the long term. It also more or less has everything that you need to just move in and start living.
The Bathroom:
The size of the bathroom is approx. ~9Sqm. It’s newly renovated and has nothing fancy to write about. Bathroom has two IKEA shelves for storage purpose. There is additional smaller washroom which is accessible via Kitchen. Please see the picture attached in the post.
Located at Bastianstr., the apartment is close to the U-Bahn Pankstr. The S-Bahn Gesundbrunnen is a 10-minute walk away, and the lively neighbourhood has plenty of grocery shops (e.g., ReWe, DM, Indian and Turkish Supermarkt), restaurants, and Gesundbrunnen Mall. The apartment is 15 minutes away by U-Bahn to Alexanderplatz. The proximity of the location is solid and Mitte is accessible within 15 minutes. It's safe to walk by yourself in the night. There has been no issues involved regarding safety in the past.

My name is Promit Ray. I am originally from India and I have been living in Germany from last 7 years. I pursued my PhD in the field of Computational Chemistry from University of Bonn and later relocated to Berlin for work. I am 31 years old, who is currently employed at Clad GmbH in the field of Data Science. I have been living in Germany since last 7 years. I moved to Berlin 4 years ago after finishing my PhD from University of Bonn. In my free time, I am usually reading more about development in the field of Artificial Intelligence, evaluating stock markets, swimming, or taking a walk in the nature. I am happy to share more details during your visit to the apartment.

Roommate Expectations (from main tenant):
Now, as far as a roommate goes, I don't have a fixed idea of who that should be. However, I do have certain expectations.
The main one is about respecting the quiet time. I value peace and quiet, so no loud music or noise in the apartment after 11 pm. Basically, just being mindful and considerate when using shared spaces, particularly in the late hours, would be much appreciated.
Cleanliness is also a big deal for me. This involves keeping our shared spaces clean, particularly the kitchen, after we've used them, and also taking care of the trash. It's just a simple way to make sure our living space stays neat and pleasant for both of us. I do not intend to maintain a cleaning schedule.
Friends and guests are welcome, feel free to invite them over. However, if you're planning to host a larger group or if you'll need the kitchen for a whole evening, please give me a heads-up so I can plan the evening. And again, during late hours, please ensure your guests are considerate with noise levels.
Boyfriends or girlfriends can stay overnight and are welcome to spend time in the apartment, I don't have any issues with that and no need to inform me about that. Longer stays (more than a week) are also okay occasionally, but not on a regular basis. Just let me know in advance if your partner plans to stay for an extended period.
Lastly, I enjoy good conversations over a cup of coffee, and love to cook and share meals. So, if you're up for it, that would be great! However, don’t feel obliged about that. I frequently cook a lot of Indian Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian dishes.
The important thing is that we maintain a friendly and respectful living environment.
