The room itself is 11m² and has one big south-ish/east window, so you'll have lot's of sunlight during the day. There is a beautiful tree in view and although the window faces the street, as long as it remains closed the traffic is barley noticeably, due to the window being relatively soundproof.
In case you aren’t planning to bring your own, we can provided you with a small desk, a chair and a 90cm x 200cm mattress. There is also a bed frame from IKEA that belongs to the person currently living in the room, she would be willing to sell it for a cheap price, if you are interested.
additionally you’ll have access to:
shared bathroom with tub/shower
shared kitchen with a gas stove/gas oven, a fridge and a washing machine for laundry, both brand new (Bosch)
+ extra appliances like a vacuum cleaner, kettle, toaster + a bunch of kitchen utensils, pots, pans, plates and cutlery
The location of the flat is super convenient, situated in the heart of Kreuzberg right next to U-Bahn station/bus stop "Prinzenstraße" (U1/U3) which is only one stop away from Kottbusser Tor. A Netto supermarket is literally right next door, as well as a Spätkauf and a Döner Kebab. Across the street there is an out-door public swimming pool, the Prinzenbad. Also, in the immediate neighbourhood there is Böcklerpark, a calm and green space with the Landwehrkanal flowing right through, perfect for walks and sitting at the water. Especially during spring and summer this area becomes really charming and lively.
Hello i'm Michael (33, from Germany). Me and my flatmate Mikey (37, from Australia) are looking for a third person to share our WG in Kreuzberg with.
A few words about us…
We are both creative types and heavily into music, and film. We both speak German and English fluently and switch between the two, depending on situation and mood.
Mikey: I live in the room next to yours, am friendly, communicative and considerate. I’m doing my Masters in Film Studies at the FU, work at a cinema, like playing music and going to bars. I love being out with my friends but enjoy having the WG as a place to relax.
Michael: i have been living in this flat for over 10 years now, i’m usually a more introverted person who likes to spend time by himself, and a decent amount of it at home. I’m trying to become a professional singer, so often i’m with my choir or my vocal coach, practicing for an upcoming concert. I do sing at home in my room sometimes, but never at a loud volume and of course not in the morning or late evening. Since my room is on the other side of the flat, with the kitchen between us, you should not hear much of it anyway.
Our rhythm is pretty standard, not rigid though, rather depending on the day. We typically get up between 08:00 - 10:00, the WG then gets more quiet at around 23:00 and at midnight, we are usually in bed/asleep. That is, unless someone is out and about at night, but even then, if one of us comes home late, they are very considerate and keep it quiet.
In short: We party outside of the WG, but keep it chill at home.
Regarding cleaning, we are no "neat freaks" but we do like to keep things clean and relatively orderly in the apartment, so we have a Putzplan and are looking for someone who will fit in with that, someone who is not too messy of a person, is aware of their surroundings and will clean up after themselves.
Other things that are important to us, the usual stuff:
Being considerate, respecting each other’s sleep schedule/s, having well defined expectations on how to co-exist in a WG and being able to communicate them.
Important:
We are only looking for short term applicants. We are flexible on the dates.

Lastly, since there are gonna be lot’s of requests, if you are really interested, best make sure to introduce yourself in a way that makes it easy to get a quick first impression of you. This will make it more likely that your message will stick out. Nothing fancy required, just a little more personal then: „hey, i’m interested, when can i see the flat?“
Feel free to ask if you have any further questions, we are looking forward to hear from you :) Ihr könnt natürlich auch gerne auf deutsch schreiben.
