GERMAN:
Dein Zimmer wird ein ca 20 m², modernes Zimmer mit einem großen Fenster zum Innenhof sein. Das Zimmer ist, tagsüber schön hell - mit den blickdichten Vorhängen kannst du es aber sehr gut abdunkeln. Ansonsten ist die Wohnung sehr ruhig (für einen Altbau überhaupt nicht hellhörig) und die Hausgemeinschaft ist super nett und international.
Das Zimmer ist vollständig möbiliert (Bett, Kleiderschrank, Schreibtischstuhl, Schreibtischlampe, Nachttisch, Bücherregel usw.). Viele der Möbel befinden sich noch in meiner derzeitigen Münchener Wohnung, sodass Du sie auf den Foto noch nicht sehen kannst. Die Möbel sind aber insgesamt qualitativ hochwertiger als die auf den Fotos. Das Bett ist auch nicht 160cm, sondern 180 cm breit.
Bitte beachte, dass die Wohnung keinen Keller hat - es steht also neben Deinem Zimmer kein weiterer Stauraum zur Verfügung.
ENGLISH:
The bedroom on offer is approximately 20m2, and recently refurbished. There are two large windows which look out onto Urbanstrasse (meaning there can be some noise from traffic). Although the room is on the first floor, it is very light and the flat is generally very quiet (especially for an old building). The neighbours are friendly and an international mix.
From the photos, you can see that your room is currently our living room. You can fill the space as you wish!
If you like we can give you a video-tour of the flat and your room to give you a better idea of the size and feel of the place.
GERMAN:
Die Wohnung befindet sich in toller Lage und zwar mitten im schönen und beliebten Gräfekiez in Kreuzberg (an der Grenze zu Neukölln), konkret in der Urbanstr. an der Ecke zur Gräfestr.
In unmittelbarer Nähe hast Du viele tolle Cafes, Bars, Restaurants, Bücherläden etc. Außerdem gibt es in der Nähe schöne Parks wie die Hasenheide und das Tempelhofer Feld, welche sich auch perfekt zum Joggen eignen. Mit dem Planufer hast du auch gleich das Wasser in der Nähe.
Vor der Haustür fährt der Bus M41. Der braucht ca. 20 min. zum Hauptbahnhof. Außerdem ist es ca. 10 Minuten zu laufen zur U8 (Schönleinstraße) und ebenfalls ca. 10 min zur U 7 (Südstern). Zur U3/U1 (Kottbusser Tor) sind es knapp 15 min zu Fuß.
Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind auch überall zu finden. Ein Netto ist 1 Minute entfernt, Edeka 3 Minuten, Biocompany 4 Minuten und ganz viele andere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Aldi, Lidl, Rewe etc.) sind am Kottbusser Damm und an der Hasenheide. Ein Highlight der Gegend ist natürlich auch der Wochenmarkt am Maybachufer (ca. 10 min zu Fuß), der zwei mal in der Woche (Di und Fr) stattfindet. Hier kann man vor allem auch günstig Gemüse und Obst kaufen.

The flat is brilliantly located, in the beautiful Gräfekiez in Kreuzberg (on the border with Neukölln). Specifically, it is located on the corner between Urbanstr. And Gräfestr.
There are tons of lovely Cafes and Restaurants, just minutes away from the house (walking). The flat is also very close to beautiful parks such as Hasenheide and Tempelhofer Feld (particularly important during a time when walks in the park with a good coffee is all that there is to do!) The canal is also very nearby.
The Bus M41 stop is a stones throw from the front door of the apartment building, which takes 20 mins to Haupbanhof. We also live an eight minute walk away from the U8 (Schönleinstraße), 10 minutes from the U 7 (Südstern) and 14 mins from U3/U1 (Kottbusser Tor).
The flat is practically located very close to a large netto store (less than one minute walking). There is also a small Edeka about three minutes away, a Biocompany 4 minutes away plus countless other major supermarkets within a 12 minute walk (Aldi, Lidl, etc.) The Turkish market (10 minutes walking), is the best place to buy fresh food (when Corona doesn’t exist) and takes place twice a week.
GERMAN
Deine zukünftigen Mitbewohner heißt Stella, ist 30 jahre alt und arbeitet vollzeit als Architektin. Da ich zurzeit in München arbeite, habe ich das Zimmer vornehmlich am Wochende und ab und zu auch unter der Woche genutzt. Nun verschlägt es mich aber für 10 Monate nach Kanada, weshalb ich das Zimmer nun für diesen Zeiraum untervermiete.
Da Stella vollzeit arbeitet, ist es Ihr wichtig, dass Du selbst auch beruftätig bist und ein geregelten Alltag hast. Bitte uns auch nur schreiben, wenn dies tatsächlich der Fall ist! Stella ist ein respektvoller Umgang wichtig und sie hat keine Lust, Dir hinterherzuräumen. Ihr ist Sauberkeit wichtig und sie möchte sich in der Wohnung weiterhin wohlfühlen. Sie erwartet deshalb, dass du Dich eigenständig am Haushalt beteiligst und alles so sauber und ordentlich bleibt wie bisher.
Wenn Du die eben genannten Eigenschaften erfüllst, wirst Du Dich gut mit Stella verstehen. Sie ist eine gesellige, sehr nette und lustige Person, die auch gerne viel reist. Ich habe immer sehr gerne mit Stella zusammengewohnt.
ENGLISH:
We are a couple, Alice (26) and Jurij (29). We’ll be moving to Munich on the 5.4.2021 for professional reasons. Alice comes from Brexit-land and is a PhD-Student in Political Communication. Jurij is a Berliner, and works as a lawyer and a tech company.
Both of us have friends (and Jurij has family) here in Berlin, therefore we would like to keep our beautiful flat, which we only recently found. We can’t say precisely how often we’ll be here at this point… but in all likelihood we would like to spend a weekend every one or two months here – or the occasional week for remote work, or a celebration. In any case, you would have the flat predominantly to yourself and we would inform you always in advance, and always as soon as is possible, when we will be coming back to the city, or one of us might be back.
Although we won’t be here most of the time, it’s naturally very important that we get along and can trust you, because we’ll be leaving all of our stuff here. It’s also important that our flat is cared for so that everything stays as clean as it is and we all feel comfortable in the apartment.
PS – we would describe ourselves as sociable, and have lived in other cities and countries and WGs before. We'd love to have a drink with you or cook something together when we're in Berlin.

- Falls Du ein Fahrrad hast, kannst Du dies sicher im Innenhof anschließen.
- Noch zum Rest der Wohnung: In der Küche sind eine neue Siemens-Waschmaschine, ein neuer Geschirrspüler, ein neuer Kühlschrank mit Eisfach und ein Gasherd und Gasofen, mit dem das Kochen richtig Spaß macht. Auch ansonsten ist alles da, was man braucht (außer eine Mikrowelle). Das Bad ist relativ klein, aber auch komplett neu und hat eine tolle Tropendusche.
- Lass uns alles andere einfach in einem gemeinsamen Gespräch klären. Gerne würden wir Dich auch zu einem Kaffe/Wein/Bier etc. in unsere Wohnung einladen, um Dich kennenzulernen. Bitte schreib uns vorher etwas über Dich, damit wir einen ersten Eindruck von Dir bekommen. Wenn du vorher noch weitere Fragen hast, schreibe uns auch einfach!
