The room is bright with big windows and a view of the backyard with trees and squirrels! It is very quiet, you can sleep with an open window. The flat has two bathrooms, one with a bathtub. So you would have your own bathroom!
The room is simply furnished. But if you want, you can of course bring your own stuff and I put the furniture in the basement.
The flat is in a courtyard in a very quiet and new set of buildings. There is a big, dry and secure cellar (very helpful) to add storage, also a bike room.
The rent is 630€ including electricity, internet, GEZ.
The flat is in the very center of Berlin, 8min walk for U8 Heinrich-Heine-Straße, 2min from U2 Märkisches Museum, 8min for S-Bahn Jannovich.
Al Natura and Netto downstairs, Edeka 5min walk with Apotheke and BioCompany and Rossman.
About me:
I moved to Berlin right before the pandemic started. I am still learning German (proud of accomplishing A2 recentlly) and would be happy to practice :p
I am a freelance web developer and programming teacher so I don't really have a regular schedule. I work from the Wintergarten where I have my little working station and maaany plants. :) If I am teaching on campus or away, feel free to use my working station.
I consider the flat as a retreat and a safe place where I can relax. I think respect and care are key for long-term cohabitation. I like to be considerate and also expect that from my roomy. Add a pinch of spontaneity, shared activities, and dinners and you got my preferred WG life.
I like bike tours in nature or in the neighborhood, concerts & museums, playing pS4, or knit with Netflix on rainy days and put on a sad face for atmosphere.
I also swim and practice yoga. But always down to join on new experiences.
I enjoy cooking (vegetarian) and am definitely a beer lover.
I really like the flat to be clean as I work from home and I feel good in a clean and tidy apartment. Don't most people? :) I have never had a cleaning schedule. 30min from both of us, each week, is enough and I assume that it should not be hard for adults to do so.
