My room is pretty comfortable, and has a cute little bay window which is nice for reading or to enjoy a morning coffee/tea. I've got some speakers you can use to enjoy some tunes, and a broken mirror which I'm sure won't bring any bad luck. It's also separated from my roommates room by the living room, so there's a lot of privacy. I quite like it, and I'm sure you will as well. If not, then you're in luck because this is not a long term arrangement ;)
We're right next to the U8 Weinmeister strasse and near Sbahn Hackesher Markt. If you like shopping, then you don't have to look very far... We have a shit ton of shops all around us, so you can waste your money freely downstairs if you so please. One condition of taking this room though is that you don't spend money at The Barn. That place sucks.
Otherwise, we have a new Edeka about 50 meters from us, and a Rewe and Kaufland about 300 meters away. All in all, very conveniently located. If you walk down Sophienstrasse towards Auguststrasse, you're in the more "neighborhoody" part of Mitte which has some cute bars, coffee shops, wine shops etc...
My roommate is named Alec - He's a wonderful guys that I've known now for almost 8 years. He's a superb roommate. Tidy, friendly, cooks a lot and would love to cook for you. He's basically a 1950s housewife (his words). He's also just very kind and considerate, and understands when to give space if needed. It'll be mainly up to him who gets to rent the room of course, but he's easy to please
Not much. We both pay 688 every month for rent, utilities, internet etc, but a flat 650 is all I would need. I'll be away in Spain for the month, and would like to find someone as soon as possible. If you're in bind and struggling on this wg search, then I'm sure that when I come back, you could crash on the couch for a few nights if need be.
