English: The room is 38 qm and consists of two parts - a big room (28qm) and a smaller room (10 qm) behind it which has been used as a bedroom.
The main room is extremely spacious and with a view to the backyard which makes the space also quiet, there's high bed that's good if you have visitors staying over. The walls are white, the room is basically unfurnished but still has a bed, a sofa, a cupboard with drawers and a coffeetable which you can use if you want. If you prefer a completely unfurnished room that can be talked about as well:)
German: Das Zimmer ist 38 qm groß und besteht aus zwei Teilen - einem großen Zimmer (28qm) und einem kleineren Zimmer (10 qm) dahinter, das als Schlafzimmer genutzt wurde.
Der Hauptraum ist sehr geräumig und mit Blick auf den Hinterhof, was den Raum auch leise macht. Es gibt ein Hochbett, das gut ist, wenn man Gäste übernachten möchte. Die Wände sind weiß, das Zimmer ist im Grunde unmöbliert, aber es gibt ein Bett, ein Sofa, einen Schrank mit Schubladen und einen Kaffeetisch, den du benutzen kannst, wenn du möchtest. Wenn du ein komplett unmöbliertes Zimmer bevorzugst, kann auch darüber gesprochen werden:)
English: The flat is located in the Bezirk of Moabit, nearest transport stations are U-Bahn Turmstraße (12-15min away) and S-Bahn Beusselstraße (10 min away), there's also a bus stop directly next to our house. The area is nice and quite calm, there are a few cultural centres and galleries, and many great places to eat. The riverside is beautiful for taking walks, cycling or jogging. Our house is next to Turmstraße which is one of the greatest streets for food in Berlin. The house is right next to the large AEG Turbine Factory which is a really special building and one of the first landmarks of modernist architecture.
Deutsch: Die Wohnung liegt im Bezirk Moabit, die nächstgelegenen Haltestellen sind die U-Bahn Turmstraße (12-15min entfernt) und die S-Bahn Beusselstraße (10 min entfernt), eine Bushaltestelle befindet sich auch direkt neben dem Haus. Die Lage ist schön und ruhig, es gibt ein paar Kulturzentren und Galerien und viele gute Möglichkeiten zum Essen. Das Flussufer ist wunderschön zum Spazierengehen, Radfahren oder Joggen. Unser Haus liegt direkt an der Turmstraße, die eine der besten Straßen für Essen in Berlin ist. Das Haus liegt direkt neben der großen AEG-Turbinenfabrik, einem wirklich besonderen Gebäude und einem der ersten Wahrzeichen der modernistischen Architektur.
English: The WG-life is rather calm. It's important to be friendly and respectful towards one another. The constellation of people living here has changed throughout the time. It's important that the flat is a place where everyone can feel safe, comfortable and at home. At the moment we are three - Max who studies digital economics (but is moving out soon, so there's a new person coming into another room as well), Marcus who works as an IT specialist for schools and kindergartens, and Marta (me) - I'm an artist, at the moment I make experimental music, write and perform, I teach piano for a living and I study composition at the UdK, before that I studied Culture Theory.
German: Das WG-Leben ist eher ruhig. Es ist wichtig, dass man freundlich und respektvoll miteinander umgeht. Die Konstellation der Leute, die hier wohnen, hat sich im Laufe der Zeit verändert. Es ist wichtig, dass die Wohnung ein Ort ist, an dem sich jeder gut aufgehoben und zu Hause fühlen kann. Im Moment sind wir zu dritt - Max, der digitale Wirtschaft studiert (aber bald auszieht, also kommt eine neue Person in ein anderes Zimmer), Marcus, der als IT-Spezialist für Schulen und Kindergärten arbeitet, und Marta (ich) - ich bin Künstlerin, im Moment mache ich experimentelle Musik, schreibe und mache performance, ich studiere Musikkomposition an der UdK und davor Kulturtheorie.
We are looking for someone to take over the room quite urgently, when you can move in in January it would be great! If you have any questions let us know. Anmeldung is possible!
Also, at the moment it's only certain to have the room until the end of May - please write when you're ok with that. There's a chance to have something long term but it's not for sure.
Wir suchen ganz dringend jemanden, der das Zimmer übernehmen kann. Wenn du im Januar einziehen kannst, wäre das ideal! Wenn Du irgendwelche Fragen hast, lass es uns wissen. Anmeldung ist möglich!
Außerdem ist es im Moment nur sicher, das Zimmer bis Ende Mai zu haben - bitte schreib, wenn du damit zufrieden bist. Es gibt eine Wahrscheinlichkeit, etwas längerfristig zu haben, aber es ist nicht sicher.
