Fully renovated spacious room in a 6er WG in the heart of Neukölln. The actual layout of the room is slightly different from the one in the pictures since I changed the look a bit. But the pieces of furniture remain the same.
The room is about 20m2 big (the square footage is approximated) and comes completely furnished with a king-size bed (140x200), a chest of drawers to put your clothes in, an "office corner" with a desk and monitor if you need to work from home, and shelves. A mirror, as well as a few other small pieces of furniture like a bed table, stool, plant, and a huge carpet, are also comprised in it.
The window is facing Erkstraße, which offers the advantage of having a good amount of sun most of the day. If you get lucky you can even tan from the bed! I usually don't turn on the heating, but if you need to do so, a button is in the room and will heat the floor instantly.
The room is on the 5th floor (no elevator), together with another bedroom. The large shared kitchen/living room, a bathroom including a shower, a big bathtub and a toilet, and access to the terrasse are also on this floor. A staircase leads you below to the fourth floor, where 4 other bedrooms, a smaller bathroom + toilets are accessible. Both floors can be accessed independently.
In the courtyard, you'll find everything you need to park your bicycle. Anmeldung is not possible for such a short time but you can definitely add your name on the doorbell and the mailbox if needed
If you don't know the city but are looking for the real Berlin experience, the area is the place to be. It is very well connected to most of the other districts in Berlin. Just around the corner, busses M41 and M43 directly lead you to (respectively) Hauptbahnhof and Ostkreuz, the two main train stations in Berlin. Alternatively, the closest U-Bahn station is Rathaus Neukölln (U7) and it is 3 minutes walk from the apartment. The U7 connects you directly to the districts of Schöneberg and Charlottenburg, and it is just one stop away to catch the U8 if you wish to go to Kreuzberg, Mitte, or Prenzlauer Berg. Tempelhofer Feld can be reached by foot in 15-20 minutes. The district is super diverse and it is full of delicious restaurants, chill bars, and little underground clubs. It is also extremely close to the canal, a beautiful spot for taking walks and checking out second-hand vintage markets every second Sunday. In terms of grocery shops, Lidl is 2 minutes walk, REWE and ALDI are 5 minutes walk. A big shopping mall is also nearby with shops of every kind, including Kaufland, Rossman, DM, MediaMarkt, TK MAxx, and many others.
We are Marina, Marie, Chrissi(from Germany), Tess (from the Netherlands) and Andrea (from Italy). You would take my room (Nat from France) since I'm going abroad for the time of the rental period.
We bonded a lot as a WG and use to do a lot together, especially during the weekends, such as going to clubs/festivals but also throwing BBQ parties on our terrace. Of course, don't feel forced to participate in any of these events if you don't feel like it, but I am sure you could enjoy them.
We are very respectful and will never do anything to make you feel uncomfortable. We recently established a weekly cleaning schedule to try to keep the flat always in good condition. We are not cleaning freaks, but obviously don't want to live in the dirt as well.
Fyi, a dishwasher and a laundry machine are available in the flat.
Our neighbors are also an international 6er WG with students and young professionals from Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, and the US. Overall we are a big community of friends which is what makes this place even more special.
