Sublease: Cozy bright room with balcony in Neukölln

I (Sarah, 34) rent out the second room of my cozy apartment in Neukölln because my flatmate is moving out.

Please note: I am currently looking for a friendly subtenant for a rather short period of time. Depending on the Mietendeckel developement in Berlin, I might want a flatmate for a longer period of time. If you also wish to maybe stay longer we might extend the contract. So if you are looking for a cozy place to start over in Berlin, this might be a good place for you. :-)

I live in a small but beautiful Altbau apartment with high stucco ceilings and wooden floors and doors. The room that I'm renting out is very bright and nicely furnished with a couch that can also be used as bed; a desk; two chairs and two dressers. It has a little balcony with direct sun in the morning and at noon, so on a sunny warm day you can enjoy your morning coffee or tea on the balcony.

We will share the kitchen and the bathroom. The bathroom has a bathtub. In the kitchen there is a washing machine that you can use.

I'm happy if you're a positive and responsible flatmate with whom it's pleasant to share even a small apartment. Since the apartment is tiny and furnished with vintage items it is necessary that both of us behave respectfully. I work in politics and I’m currently working during the week (mostly no home office), so I normally I get up early. To me my apartment is a beautiful place for retreat, which is why I am looking for a rather quiet flatmate. I enjoy cooking and baking and I'm interested in design and architecture. I like talking about books, movies and politics. Also I am a fan of animals and plants.

I don't have a ton of rules but I prefer my home to be clean (ideally daily vacuum cleaning, weekly cleaning). So I expect my flatmate to be accurate when it comes to cleaning and to treat my things with respect.

Bitte beachtet, dass ich das Zimmer zunächst nicht dauerhaft vermiete. Je nachdem, wie über den Mietendeckel in Berlin entschieden wird, suche ich möglicherweise dauerhaft eine/n Mitbewohner/in. Ich lebe in einer kleinen schönen Altbauwohnung mit Stuck, Dielenboden und abgeschliffenen Holztüren. Der Raum ist durch die großen Fenster sehr hell und hübsch möbliert mit einer Schlafcouch, einem Schreibtisch, einem Sessel, einem Stuhl und zwei Kommoden. Das Zimmer verfügt über einen kleinen Balkon. Morgens bis mittags scheint die Sonne in das Zimmer, an einem sonnigen warmen Tag kannst du also morgens deinen Kaffee oder Tee in der Sonne sitzend auf dem Balkon genießen.

Wir teilen uns die Küche und das Bad. Das Badezimmer verfügt über eine Badewanne, die Küche über eine Waschmaschine.

Ich freue mich über eine:n positiv eingestellte:n und verantwortungsbewusste:n Mitbewohner:in, mit der/dem das Zusammenleben auch in einer kleinen Wohnung im Lockdown angenehm ist. Da das Appartement sehr klein und mit Vintage Möbeln eingerichtet ist, ist es wichtig, dass wir Rücksicht aufeinander nehmen und mit allem pfleglich umgehen. Ich arbeite im politischen Bereich und gehe meistens ins Büro, normalerweise stehe ich recht früh auf. Für mich ist meine Wohnung ein schöner Ort zum Runterkommen, daher suche ich eher eine:n ruhige:n Mitbewohner:in. Ich koche und backe gerne und interessiere mich für Design und Architektur, Filme und Politik und ich mag Tiere und Pflanzen.

Ich habe meine Wohnung gern sehr sauber (idealerweise täglich saugen, wöchentlich putzen) und suche daher eine:n freundliche:n Mitbewohner:in, die/der darauf auch Wert legt und meine Dinge pfleglich behandelt.
