I am renting a 18 sqm room in a 65 sqm flat that has a big living kitchen, a bathroom and another bedroom. The access to the balcony is from my bedroom, you are welcome to use it when I am not working or sleeping :)
The flat is my little cocoon, I have renovated it all by myself a few years ago, with the help of some specialists: electricity, heating, bathroom, massive wood floors, walls, ceilings etc etc.
There is an equipped kitchen with beautiful new kitchenware, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine, boiler, induction stove, oven, microwave oven, "quick" hoover, "strong" hoover, iron, and much more! The radiators are controlled via app and the heating is adjusted whenever you or I leave home.
Your room is fully furnished with a bed and mattress, a high desk, two carpets and design sofa, an armchair, a big wardrobe, a mirror, a shelf and also curtains! I am still brainstorming about how to improve the interior design and furnishing of this room; your suggestions will be welcome :)
The room faces a street, but the street itself is pretty far away, and a new building is being constructed between the flat and that street. I must say there is some construction happening on that side, planned for 6 more months, but the modern double windows work well.
The location is great! The flat is located in the trendy Schillerkiez, in a quiet street between 2 parks: Hasenheide and Tempelhofer Feld and just 5mn walk from Boddinstr. UBahn! There are friendly neighbours as well as lots of cafés, restaurants and bars nearby.

I would be your new roommate: my name is Claire (34), I am French, in Berlin for almost 7 years already, and usually working as a product manager, although I am currently looking for a job... I normally work more than half of the week from home, I am even interviewing for fully remote positions.
In my free time I like to dance, cook and occasionally have a crazy night at a club! I also do lots of crafts, especially projects to improve the interior design of the flat, such as creating a playground wall for my cats!
This is a good transition to tell you more about my cats: a male and a female, 2.5 years old. They are the most cuddly cats I have ever seen, and they adopt strangers immediately! They follow me everywhere in the flat and can enjoy the balcony too. Probably because they have been rescued from the street, they have some food obsession: when they hear cat food they run like crazy! I am warning you so there is no surprise, but it is totally manageable! They have all cat modern comfort: private automatic toilets, a water fountain and several automatic food dispensers! It doesn't mean that taking care of them doesn't take time every day, though 🐱
So as you may have understood I spend quite some time at home. But I also travel regularly, as I try and go to France 5 days every month, and I sometimes go for random adventures.
My current flatmate is moving back to Belgium. I hope with you, my new flatmate, we can keep the same ambiance at home: a pretty quiet flat, where we spend time together but also give each-other space and inform each-other of our schedules so there is no bathroom / kitchen / laundry traffic jam!
One more thing about myself: I am not a vegetarian, but I don't cook much meat :) The cats are not vegan at all, though! They eat raw meat every day, which is very healthy for them 💕 I hope that when I am away you are fine with feeding them, cleaning their litter, and also giving them the big amount of love they need (well, that would be all the time actually haha). I also have lots of plants inside and on my balcony, that I hope you can keep alive when I travel - a great time to also enjoy the small balcony!
When I am in the flat I do most of the cleaning and common purchases, I just ask that you clean after yourself and help throw away the trash. [Update: i just broke several bones, I need to see what I will be able to do!].
I am the owner of the flat, so I care a lot about it and I am looking for someone careful and clean.
Anmeldung is possible (and required). That will also enable the two of us to just pay for half of the TV tax (not included in the rent). You are also welcome to use my Amazon Prime subscription for deliveries :)
I am looking for a long-term flatmate, but since we don't know each other yet, it is also good to know there is an exit possibility: the notice period is 2 months.
The price you will pay includes the rent, the Nebenkosten from the building, the flat's electricity, gas and internet as well as a household contents insurance that can also cover your bike! On your end, you will need to have a private liability insurance.
After reading all this, do you think we would be a good WG match?
