Your room is 24m² large with nice old parquet flooring and "stuck" on the ceiling. It has two windows which make the room quite bright. I´m happy to leave some furniture in the room if needed – I have two large wardrobes, a cupboard, curtans and more we potentially won’t move to our new flat. What we finally leave in the apartment is still work-in-progress until we move out mid march.
The Kitchen is quite nice and spacious with a sitting area. It has a cooker, dishwasher, fridge, oven etc. The bathroom has a bath/shower and some space to hang up laundry. The last room is also 24m² large and quite identical to yours which I will use when I´m traveling to Berlin. You can use the basement for storage and the courtyard for your bike.
The apartment is located in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg in the Lychener Str. just between the two famous Helmholtzkiez and Kolwitzkiez. Many would consider it one of the best districts in Berlin due to the high density of bars, restaurants, food markets, beautiful historic buildings and excellent connection to transportation. Since the apartment is located on the 4th floor and there is no bar and restaurant in the house the overall noise is limited yet the windows are street facing. Parking is possible in the street, most of the day you will find a slot but in the evening, it will be more tricky. What’s amazing is that you have basically everything in the absolute near distance you would need:
Eberswalder station (U2, M1, M2, M5, M10, 12): 2min
Schönhauser alle (Ringbahn etc.): 13min
Mauerpark: 9min
Kulturbrauerei: 2min
Späti: Right opposite of appartment
Rewe: 2min
Restaurants, Bars etc.: all over the area
I lived in this beautiful apartment for over 8 years now, recently with my girlfriend together. We are in March moving to Hamburg. I will only be occasionally in the flat/Berlin (every second week for two nights maybe) when I´m working in the Berlin office. Hence you will be quite undisturbed for most of the time ;) The house is very easy going and mixed - families, singles, WG and also retired people. I never had any issue.
Start rent: 1st April or tbd. We are moving mid-march so there might be an opportunity to prepone it.
3 month termination for both sides as usual.
