Hallo leute,
Ich bin Calum, ein musiker aus England, und ich suche ein Zimmer weil ich ein Praktikum machen werde. Ich bin sehr sympatisch, freundlich und aufgeschlossen, und ich höffe ähnliche menschen zu finden! Tut mir leid, aber ich möchte jetzt Englisch schreiben... obwohl ich lerne, mein Deutsch ist immer noch ziemlich schlecht!
Actually, improving my German is quite important to me so I'd really appreciate a chance to practice with people. My understanding is getting much better, but my speaking is pretty poor! But of course I'm more than happy to speak English as well. :)
My internship starts on 1st October at the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy on Ku'damm, where I will be helping organise loads of conferences and symposiums on international relations, and that sort of thing. I'll be working 9-5, Monday - Friday, so will be fairly busy, but I of course also am really looking forward to enjoying the social side of WG life - I definitely want to meet new people, have a good social life, and all that sort of thing as well. I want to enjoy my time in Berlin!
In terms of a WG, I'm pretty flexible so long as the people are friendly - I get on with all kinds of people. Also, I'm not overly fussy, so if in doubt just message me anyway!
So, a little more about me... Besides being an English philosophy graduate, I'm also a guitarist and singer songwriter - I really hope to get involved with some music while I'm in Berlin, perhaps playing a few gigs. I'm a music-lover in general actually, so am really keen to explore the Berlin music scene!
Personally, I'm pretty relaxed and easy to get on with socially and am a generally very reasonable person. Manners cost nothing, so I'm always polite and friendly to people as much as possible - I'm quite stereotypically English in that respect! I'm not exactly a clean-freak (putz-teufel??), but always clean up after myself, and keep my surroundings tidy. Basically, yeah, I'm open-minded and flexible, and am really looking forward to new people and experiences in Berlin. :)
Unfortunately I'm still in England at the moment, but arrive in Berlin on the 10th September and am more than happy to chat on Skype for now.
