Neuer Postdoc zieht nach Bochum

Hi my name is Kevin Schoeffler,

I am an American who has been living in Lisbon Portugal for the last 10 years, but I just moved to Bochum to start a new postdoc at RUB about plasma astrophysics. For now I am alone in a single apartment. I enjoy meeting new people, learning languages, boardgames, cooking, and going on adventures (new cities, outdoors, hiking, etc.). I don't really know anyone there yet, and I would love to meet some new people. I practiced my German a bit before I got here, but I am still beginning. I would also love to learn while living with a cool group! (Hopefully, I can have a similar experience to learning Portuguese.)

Who would be interested in sharing with a guy like me? I am looking to find a nice group of people (3 or more including me) to share an apartment/ house etc. in a place where people are generally calm, not always partying, but at the same time a place that is lively where we would interact with each other (occational cooking, games, movies, dinners [I eat most everything, love trying new things, and love spicy food] , etc.). Over the years I have enjoyed plenty of experiences in shared apartments, with more than 80 old roommates, many of whom I still keep in contact with.
