Hey there, due to my Erasmus I’m leaving my room in a student dorm in bonn Poppelsdorf for a couple of month. The room is in a house out of the Gründerzeit - so high ceilings.
The room is over 20qm big and already furnitured. However if you feel more comfortable without specific furniture just let me know so I can store them somewhere else before leaving;)
There are no additional costs for you! Everything like GEZ, Water, electricity internet and so on is included.
The location is awesome. Walking distance to the next next bus stop (631) is 1min but you will probably take the bus stop Poppelsdorfer Platz around 3min by foot with several bus connections. Three of these buses at this stop are heading to the city. But even by foot it will just take you around 15 to 20 min. Big advantage you can walk along the Poppelsdorfer Allee so it will feel much quicker. Supermarkets are also at the Poppelsdorfer Platz as well as several restaurants, bars etc. If you walk 10 to 15 min you will reach the Rewe in the Südstadt which is open till midnight. The netto only till 10pm.
In our house there are 15 rooms and as many people live here. We have four floors, two kitchens - one on your floor - and four bathrooms. One on each floor. So even within busy hours there’s no lack of facilities especially because every room has its own sink.
Due to the two kitchens it’s more like to flatshares within one house. The reason why I just put just 7 people in the description;)
We have bunch of people speaking English, German and/or Spanish. However there are single people who are able to speak Ukranian, Persic or Swahili. Our go to language is mostly English;)
Even though we are 15 people there are around 7 „active“ people in our house. So wether you want to socialize or be on your own you probably gonna be happy;)
