Hallo ihr lieben Wohnungssuchenden,
da Finn uns zum 30.05 verlassen wird um auf Reisen zu gehen, wird bei uns ein gemütliches 12 qm Zimmer im 2. OG. mit einem Veluxfenster und Laminatboden frei!
Wegen der Größe und der Gemütlichkeit des Zimmerchens nennen wir es in der WG auch "das Künstler*innenzimmer". Für Menschen mit begrenzten Besitztümern und viel Herz ist dieses Zimmer ein idealer Wohnplatz (allerdings passen Doppelbett, Schreibtisch und Regale gut in das Zimmer, welche bei Bedarf gerne übernommen werden können!). Mit Blick auf den Hintergarten und viel Vormittagssonne genießt dieser Ort einen besonderen Flair im Haus.
Wir wohnen in einem Reihenmittelhaus mit 3 Stockwerken. Im EG befinden sich die Küche, das große Gemeinschaftszimmer/Wohnzimmer, Bad 1 mit Dusche und der Zugang zum Garten. Im 1 OG. befinden sich drei Schlafzimmer und Bad 2 mit Badewanne. Im 2 OG. befindet sich zwei weitere Zimmer und Bad 3 mit Waschbecken und Toilette. Hier führt vom Flur aus eine Leiter in das Dachbodenzimmer.
Dear lovely people in search of a fantastic flat,
since Finn will be leaving us on the 31.05 to travel foreign streets,
one room (12 qm) on the second floor with one big velux window and laminate floor will be available for rent!
Due to its size and cozyness, this room is known as "The Artist's Room". It is ideal for a person with limited posessions and a big heart (however, a double bed, shelves and a desk, which could be yours to keep, fit comfortably in the room). With its view of the back garden and loads of noon sunshine, this room offers a special flair within the house.
We live in a row middle house with three floors. The kitchen is on the ground floor, as well as the big living room, one of the bathrooms and the backdoor to our small garden. The first floor is home to two further rooms and one bathroom with a bathtub. On the second floor there are two additional rooms, as well as a small restroom. The last room is in the loft, accesible by ladder.
Die Gartenstadt Vahr ist ein ziemlich ruhiges Pflaster, daher ist es hier gut möglich dem Trubel der Stadt zu entfliehen.
Mit der Linie 25 (die direkt vor unserer Haustür abfährt) kommst du jedoch innerhalb weniger Minuten (ca 15-20) direkt zum HBF, Brill oder Domsheide.
Außerdem fährt 5min entfernt die Linie 21 Richtung Uni und 10min entfernt die Linie 1.
Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Aldi, Lidl, Rewe, Rossmann und ein türkischer, sowie ein polnischer Supermarkt) sind in 5 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen
Eine Tankstelle am Ende der Straße sichert zudem auch außerhalb regulärer Supermarkt-Öffnungszeiten das Überleben.
The Gartenstadt Vahr is in a quiet part of town and it's quite easy to escape the troubles of the city life around here.
However, the bus Nr. 25 (right by our front door) can get you to the city center and to the main train station in less than 20 minutes.
Additionally, there is the bus Nr. 21 close-by to get to university, and the tram Nr. 1 to get to other
parts of town.
We can shop at Lidl, Aldi, Rossman and Rewe, all of which are less than 5 minutes away. In case of Snack-Emergerncies, the gas station at the end of the street saves lifes whenever shops are closed.
Wir (Felix, Pauline, Bhanu, Naima und Jan) sind auf keinen Fall eine Zweck- WG, sondern uns ist ein familiäres Miteinander und Gemeinschaft wichtig. Wenn es die Zeit zulässt wird hier in gemütlicher Atmosphäre zusammen gespielt, gefeiert, Kaffee getrunken, gequatscht oder andere Dinge unternommen. Wir teilen also nicht nur unseren Lebensraum und unser Futter, sondern auch unseren Alltag mit allem Auf und Ab.
Gekocht wird meistens für alle, was hervorragend funktioniert, weil wir über unser Bonglas gemeinsam und fair haushalten. Außerdem gibt es einen rotierenden Putzplan, sodass auch diese Aufgaben fair verteilt sind.
Es erwarten dich hier wunderbare Menschen, sowie Kater Herrman, die Lust auf ein gemeinsames Leben in der schönen Gartenstadt Vahr haben. Es wäre super wenn du zumindest etwas Englisch sprechen würdest, da nicht alle unsere Mitbewohner*innen fließend Deutsch sprechen :) Übrigens ist unser Kater immer gut mit Finns Hund zurecht gekommen, Menschen mit katzenfreundlichen Hunden sind also herzlichst Willkommen.
We (Felix, Pauline, Naima, Bhanu and Jan) are not only a lose group of people living together. We really care a lot about a
family enviroment and the community of our house is very important to us. Whenever we have time to spare, we chill in our living room, drink coffee, go dancing, talk or lose to Felix in a game of "Wizard". So we do'n only share the space and our food, but also our every day life with all is ups and downs.
We usually buy groceries and cook for everyone communually, which works quite well, and share all the receits at the end of the month. We're quite mindful about what we're buying and eating, so it's economical as well. Additionally we have a cleaning schedule with rotating tasks, so the work is shared equally.
In our house, you'll be welcomed by a bunch of wonderful, very diverse people - as well as cat Herrman - who work on having a nice, easy life in the Gartenstadt Vahr. Out cat always got along with Finns dog, so dog owners with cat friendly dogs are welcome to write to us!

Zu Corona: Wir treffen Menschen für unser kleines Haus trotz Lockdown in Persona. Da es in unserer WG so sehr auf das Miteinander ankommt, möchten wir unsere neuen Menschen wirklich kennenlernen. Allerdings können wir uns natürlich auf dich und deine Bedürfnisse einstellen, also eine Besichtigung online machen und uns dann auf die Terasse setzten, oder vorher alle Tests machen. Wie genau wir das regeln, können wir gern per Email abmachen!

Please send us an email with some information about yourself and the kind of flat atmosphere you're looking for and we'll try to get back to you as soon as possible with a date for a get together.
As to Corona: We're meeting possible new flatmates still in person, even with the Lockdown and everything, since our day to day live depends so much on how we get along. But we will of course consider your personal preferences, so we could for example do an online tour of the flat and then get together in the garden, or do tests before meeting. How we do that all will be communitated through email!
