We are a small family with a child (1 year) and live in a 180m2 modernised two-storey historical building near the Bürgerpark.
The available room is 45m2. There is also a separate bathroom. We are looking for a student from Bremen University who will take our child to KITA which is next to university and pick it up again in the afternoon.
Our son must arrive in the daycare between 8:00 an 8:45 a.m. and be picked up by 4:00 p.m.
The room is currently furnished, but furniture can be stored and exchanged for furniture that you want to bring with you.
In addition to bringing him to KITA and picking him up, we need childcare support 3 afternoons a week for 2 hours from 16:00-18:00.
The total time required is approximately 38-48 hours a month depending on whether you stay at the university after bringing him to the Kita or if you need to come back to our house afterwards. In return, the room does not cost any rent nor additional costs.
There is no cleaning plan as we have a cleaning lady who is taking care of the common area (living room, kitchen etc.). You "only" need to take care of your own belongings/dishes/kitchen after cooking.
We are also happy to stay with a foreign student wanting to learn or improve his/her German skills while staying with a German family provided that a stay in Germany of more than 1 year is planned.
The apartment is located in a quiet residential street near the Bürgerpark in Schwachhausen. There are various shops and a supermarket close by. The apartment is located in the Wachmannstrasse district, one of the best residential areas in Schwachhausen. There are different tram stations close by such as Brahmstr. (tram 6 and 8) and St. Joseph Stift. (tram 1 and 4).
We are a family hence it is not a normal student WG. The furniture/ equipment is well above normal student standard and hence we do not want parties in our home.
You can surely have guests, but we would want to know who is coming into our home.
We do not want TV time in common areas as our son should not yet watch TV, but we have a spare TV if you would like to have one in your own room.
You need to be able to ride a bike safely incl. a trolley with our child.
