Hey there, I'm on the hunt for a new roommate to share my cozy apartment with – just the two of us, how cool is that? 😄 My current flatmate is off to Bamberg for some surgery residency stuff, and saying goodbye is bittersweet, but it's also a chance to welcome someone awesome into our space.
I've been holding down the fort in this apartment for about a year and a half now, and it'll be ready for you on November 1st. The rent covers everything, from electricity to internet, but there's this tiny exception called GEZ that we'll have to split, no biggie.
Now, let me tell you about the room – it's a sun-soaked, bright 17-square-meter space with all the furniture you see in the photos. There's a single bed, a nifty console that doubles as a mini wardrobe, a standing coat rack (the kleiderstander), a sleek white dresser with 5 drawers, a coffee table, and a study desk with a chair. Basically everything in the pictures. It's pretty much move-in ready!
The room's a bit of a chaos zone, but he's totally swamped with all that German bureaucracy stuff!
Our flat also boasts a well-equipped kitchen with a dining table for some good old hangout time, a storage room for stashing stuff, and a generous balcony. Quick note, though: the balcony's accessible only through my room, sorry about that! Oh, and we've got a bathroom with a bathtub and a trusty washing machine for your laundry needs. In summer, you can let your clothes bask in the sun on the balcony, or if you're in a hurry, you can use the washers and dryers in the basement for just a euro or two. Personally, I think it's a bit of a trek, but hey, options are nice, right?
Speaking of location, the house is located super to the city center (Am Färberhof 8). Takes just few minutes (100m) to get REWE, bakery and hospital/pharmacy. The home is super close to Arcaden. You must walk about 8-9 minutes to get to the train station. It's about 10 minutes by bike to the Technical Faculty.
I'm Sinem Akcakoyunlu, 28 years old. I'm knee-deep in my master's program for telecommunication engineering, and I've just dived headfirst into thesis writing, so this semester's a bit of a whirlwind for me. On top of that, I'm doing some part-time gig at Healthineers. So, yeah, my life's pretty much a mix of studying and squeezing in some sports when I can. Volleyball and hitting the gym are my jam! 🏐💪 It'd be super awesome if we could hit up some sports together, indoor or outdoor – I'm all in!
When I'm not on the go, you'll find me chilling at home, whipping up some tasty dishes or just kicking back with a movie. I'm all about sharing some common interests and enjoying our time together, but I also totally get the need for personal space whenever you want it.
My friends would describe me as uncomplicated, easy-going, sarcastic, analytical, and independent. And clumsy :( This is important, I am very clumsy but try to be more careful. I'm a pretty social person, but I also need my alone time. I want my house to be a place where I can have people over, but not a place that's constantly full of people. I'm open to the idea of my roommates hosting small parties - I would just like to know about these ahead of time. I'm down to get to know each other; I'm not saying we have to be best friends, but I would like to do some things together like occasionally cooking together, coffee/tea and chit chatting in between, beer or wine evenings….
And cleaning…This is super essential for me. I like my house to be clean. I like to keep common living spaces pretty clean. I do my dishes every day and put away my belongings when I get home from work. I'm open to the idea of a cleaning schedule to keep things organized. I am open to criticism, and I am not taking it personally. I expected you to express needs/criticism without the other person taking it personally, especially on cleaning topics.
