American M.Sc looking for flatshare

I’m an American with Irish citizenship coming to get my M.Sc in “Advanced Materials and Processes” at FAU.

As I will be new to Erlangen, I would like to join a flatshare in order to make new friends and connections. Locations close to the Techfak would obviously be preferable, although I would especially like to be close to a gym and/or the DAV climbing center. However at the end of the day I am not terribly picky; having good roommates is what will matter most to me.

About me: I’m an Irish-American with an adventurous disposition; I tend to take the road less traveled and I am not afraid of taking risks. A perfect example of this would be the story of me coming to Germany: I came to Germany (alone) on vacation, and ended up staying for nearly two years, despite not knowing German. I got positions with DAAD+RWTH Aachen, as well as BMW/TÜM, and I worked at these positions full time while also doing my B.Sc online with my American university (thanks to COVID). Now I’m in the USA for the summer, working at a EV startup called Rivian.

I plan on flying to Erlangen on October 1st, although I would like to have my WG secured well before that. If that means I start paying for an apartment in July, then I’m okay with that :)
