Höchst ist eines der vielfältigsten Stadtteile Frankfurts mit super Anbindung. Der Bus fährt direkt um die Ecke, der Bahnhof ist 5 Minuten vom Haus entfernt und mit der S-Bahn braucht man nur 10 Minuten zum Hauptbahnhof. Der Main ist in 5 Minuten zu erreichen. Zwei Schwimmbäder befinden sich um die Ecke, sowie verschiedene Supermärkte, ein Asia-Shop, ein marokkanischen Laden und eine "Fußgängerzone" mit Shopping-Möglichkeiten. Höchst bietet ein buntes Freizeit-Vergnügen. Die Sbahnen fahren inzwischen am Wochenende in der Nacht durch.

Höchst is one of the most diverse parts of Frankfurt with great connections. The bus goes right around the corner, the train station is 5 minutes from the house and the S-Bahn takes only 10 minutes to the main train station. The Main river can be reached in 5 minutes. Two swimming pools are around the corner, as well as various supermarkets, an Asia shop, a Moroccan shop and a "pedestrian zone" with shopping opportunities. Höchst offers a colorful leisure pleasure. The trains run through at night on weekends.

Wir pflegen ein entspanntes WG-Leben. Für eine 11er WG sind wir recht ruhig. Hin und wieder sind wir alle recht busy. Wenn mensch mal seine Ruhe braucht, kann mensch sich gut zurückziehen oder auch häufig Gesellschaft haben. Kurz zu unserem Hintergrund: Wir sind teils Studierende, teils berufstätig. Wir sind politisch und sozial interessiert und teils organisiert. Wir wollen keinen Rassismus, (CisHetereo)Sexismus, Queerfeindlichkeit, Antisemitismus und sonstige besorgte Bürger*innen. Selbstverständlich sind wir nicht immer komplett frei von all dem und versuchen dies kritisch zu reflektieren. Du solltest dich bereits mit diesen Themen beschäftigt haben oder Interesse haben dies zu tun.

Wichtig ist uns ein gemeinschaftliches WG-Leben. So sitzen wir abends hin und wieder kochend, essend und redend zusammen, trinken öfters mal das ein oder andere Getränk und sind, wenn es sich ergibt, auch mal außerhalb der WG gemeinsam unterwegs. Manche ernähren sich vegetarisch oder vegan, andere essen Fleisch; beim Kochen achten wir darauf, dass keine*r zu kurz kommt. Wir teilen uns fast alles an Lebensmitteln, was erstaunlich gut klappt. Das Putzen erledigen wir gemeinschaftlich nach Putzplan. Bei soviel Leuten kann es natürlich mal passieren, dass kurzzeitig etwas Unordnung entsteht, wir versuchen aber generell ein gutes “Level” an Sauberkeit zu halten. Alle zwei Wochen gibt es ein Plenum, darauf solltest du auch Lust haben.

was wir uns von dir wünschen: Wir suchen eine Person, die sich aktiv ins WG-Leben einbringen möchte und aware ist für die Bedürfnisse und Diskriminierungserfahrungen anderer, da wir in der WG z.B. BIPOC und trans Personen sind.
Wir wünschen uns, dass du WG-Erfahrung mitbringst und perspektivisch bei uns für eine längere Zeit wohnen möchtest. Wir präferieren FLINTA-Personen (Frauen,Lesben,Inter,Trans,Agender) und BIPoC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color), auch wenn es letztendlich auf die gegenseitige Sympathie ankommt.

We cultivate a relaxed communal life. We're pretty calm for an 11 roommate. From time to time we are all quite busy. If you need a break, you can retreat or have company often. A brief background: We are partly students and partly working. We are politically and socially interested and partly engaged. There is no place for racism, sexism, homophobia, anti-semitism and other concerned citizens. This also means that you should have already dealt with these topics or are interested in doing so.

What is important to us is a communal life in a shared flat. In the evenings we often sit together cooking, eating and talking, drink a beer or two from time to time and, if it arises, we also go out together outside the WG. Some of us eat vegetarian or vegan food, others eat meat; when cooking we make sure that no one is left out. We share almost all food, which works surprisingly well. We do the cleaning together according to the cleaning plan. With so many people, it can of course happen that there is a little mess for a short time, but we generally try to keep a good "level" of cleanliness. Every two weeks there is a plenum, you should feel like it.

what we are looking for in you: We are looking for someone who wants to actively participate in the life of a shared flat and who is aware of the needs and discrimination experiences of others , since, for example, we are BIPOC and trans people. We would prefer if you are experienced in sharing a flat with other people and if you are looking for a place to stay in longterm.
We prefer not cis-men and BIPoC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color). But of cource sympathy will decide.

In unserer WG lebt eine Person, die zur Risikogruppe bei Corona gehört. In so einer großen WG ist das Ansteckungsrisiko natürlich größer, deshalb haben wir in unserem Zusammenleben ein paar Vorsichtsmaßnahmen aufgestellt, um das Risiko von Ansteckungen so gut wie es geht zu minimieren.

Die wären zur Zeit:
- Einschränkung von Körperkontakt zu Menschen & Aufenthalt in anderen/unserer WG/Wohnungen
- beim Betreten der Wohnung erstmal Hände waschen und desinfizieren was berührt wurde
- ab 4 -5 Leuten noch vermehrt auf lüften achten
Wir sprechen regelmäßig auf dem Plenum darüber und machen uns auch Gedanken, wie ein Umgang bei einer Covid-19 positiv getesteten Person (im Nahkreis) aussehen kann.

There is one person living in our shared flat who belongs to the risk group of Corona. In such a large shared flat, the risk of infection is naturally very high, so we have established a few rules in our living together to minimise the risk of infection as much as possible.

Those would be at the moment:
- reduction physical contact with people outside the shared flat, also visits
- when entering the apartment first wash your hands and disinfect anything that has been touched

We are currently having a plenary session every week to discuss how we are doing with the precautions, whether we want to improve or even relax and what we can do for our health and mental health in the WG.
