Room in cosy rooftop flat, top and quiet location (unfurnished)

The location is perfect. You find a rich cultural life and cosmopolitan atmosphere in the Nordend neighbourhood as well as parks relatively close by. The city centre is really close and, at the same time, you don't hear any big streets. The underground train station „Glauburgstraße“ is right around the corner, 300 metres away. In front of the flat there is an elementary school and next to it is a construction site; they almost finished building so you are lucky.

We like to live in a shared flat and walk into each other to chat, have a cup of tea or eat spontaneously together, even if it happens once a week or even less in busy times. We believe that spending a bit of time together is necessary to feel comfortable at home, as we live in close contact.

At the same time, we think it is important that everybody has always the possibility to have his/her own space, be alone in their room or use the shared rooms without being sociable, for example hearing a podcast or being deep in thoughts.

We are open for parties in our flat now and then, but not too frequently, as the doors are thin and you can hear the noise. Within reason, you may smoke in your room next to the open window, as long as the smoke does not enter the rest of the apartment. Heavy smoking in the room is not allowed.

Everybody is expected to help keep the common spaces clean and tidy. We work quite a lot and have a good number of interests. So we are looking for proactivity, improvements and a positive attitude, and not for someone to babysit.

Racism, anti-semitism, queer-discrimination, sexism, or similar are not tolerated.

About me: I am 31 and moved to Frankfurt 6+ years ago from Italy with the idea of staying a couple of months. I am working in IT in a bank, at times remotely. I am into road trips, cooking, hiking, sunsets, reading, playing the piano, art, entrepreneurship, environmental sustainability and more. I am vegan, have a passion for quietness and nature but also like to explore the city with friends in search of nice cafes, museums, cinemas & co.

About Rudi: Hello there, my name is Rudi and I am 33 years old. I am working as a hardware-developer for a small company within walking distance to our flat. My hobbies are dancing, going to the gym, baking hearty baked goods, board games and from time to time even brewing some beer.

The room is rented unfurnished.

The landlord requires liability insurance (Haftpflichversicherung); this costs approximately 50€/year and can be purchased online in minutes.

Rental contract: I will have a contract as the main tenant and you will receive a sub-tenant contract. You may terminate your subtenant contract after a notice period of three months.

Payslips: I will ask you to provide me with your last payslips before signing the subtenant contract.

The rental contract is limited in time until 30/04/2027 because the owner wants to have the possibility to move into the apartment afterward himself, but a new contract afterwards might be possible as it already happened once. Rudi might consider leaving in 1+ years, whereas I will most probably stay longer.
