Your room is bright and furnished (please see note below), with a pair of windows facing west, a bed (140cm x 200cm), a table, a chair, a book shelf, a dresser and a clothes rack. The floor is laminate.
The kitchen has a fridge including a freezer, an oven and a dishwasher. You can share all the utensils and cutlery in the kitchen. We also have a small backyard shared by the residents of the building, and a small storage space in the attic. The flat has a total area of 57 sq.m., including your room, my room, kitchen, bathroom and corridor.
NOTE: For hygiene reasons, please buy a new mattress and other bed accessories for yourself, before you move in!
All costs including internet (200 Mbps), GEZ, and average electricity, water and heating are included in the Nebenkosten.
The flat is located in a quiet residential area in Rödelheim. The Rödelheim train station is 12 minutes away on foot. You can walk along the banks of the river Nidda, which flows behind the house, a couple of streets away, or take a stroll to the beautiful Solmspark or the surrounding fields. There are some nice spots for stargazing.
You can get to an Aldi and Netto with a 5 minutes walk. There is a Rewe directly at the train station, and a Lidl, 5 minutes walking from the station. There is also a big shopping area with Rewe, Burger King, dm and so on, a 5 minute bus ride (or 20 mins walk) away from the flat. There are also a lot of restaurants and a few bakeries near the train station.
Public transport:
We are in the Frankfurt fare region (5004) of the public transport. The nearest bus stop, In der Au, is located 6 minutes on foot from the flat and is served by buses 55 to the Rödelheim train station and towards Höchst. You can reach the Rödelheim train station either 2 minutes with this bus, or by a 12 minute walk from the flat. You can get to the central train station in 10 minutes with the S3, S4 or S5, which run on the average every 7 minutes. In the opposite direction, you can travel towards Bad Soden, Kronberg and Friedrichsdorf. There are occasional regional trains as well. Better bus connectivity is planned by RMV/VGF soon!
I will be your flatmate. I am 28 years old and from India. I am currently a full-time employee (working from home in the current situation). I understand most German, but I find speaking in English easier. When I have free time, I am either cooking, baking, watching TV shows, listening to music (almost always on headphones), or trying to find dark places to have a good look at the stars. My previous flatmates describe me as friendly, open and communicative. 🙂 I will be fully vaccinated against covid before you move in.
Ideally I am looking for someone, who would enjoy doing things together - cooking (and eating! 😁), watching TV shows (netflix and disney+ available 😉), or just having good wholesome conversation. It is completely fine when you need your own space and time.
We follow a weekly cleaning plan for the shared parts of the flat. Three times a year, we also clean the staircase of the whole building.
If you are interested, please leave me a message, describing yourself, including who you are, what you (will) do in Frankfurt and what you like to do in your free time. Please include the word "Olaf" in your message so that I know you read the whole ad.
Looking forward to your messages!
Respecting the current lockdown situations, I would prefer to do a video call to show you the flat.
