About the room:
The room is very spacious with ~18 square meters, it has a large window which allows some light in the morning.
The room is currently equipped with a bed, 2 nice shelves, a small desk and a desk chair. It is possible to buy those furnitures from the previous roommate. The fee for the common furnitures (wash machine, dish washer, shelves, kitchen utilities, etc) is of ~300 Euros. When moving out the tenant can sell them again to his/her successor.
About the apartment:
The apartment is 92m2 large and consists of 4 bedrooms, a medium Kitchen, a small toilet and a large bathroom with a bathtub. It also has a south-facing balcony accessible from the largest bedroom. The basement includes a common laundry room with a separate washing machine for each flat, clothes drying spaces, and most importantly a private cellar for every apartment.
Bicycles can be parked in the bicycle cellar or in the front yard of the building. The Backyard consists of a small garden that can be shared. For cars, free parking spots are usually abundant on the Gartenstrasse road facing the building.
General information:
Current contract ends in march 2025. possible extention soon to be discussed with the Landlords.
The WG is in a very strategic location, very close to the Main river (3min by foot), the university hospital and the Kennedy villa. The Tram station Vogelweidstraße is almost directly in front of the front door (1 min by foot) with a direct connection to Hauptbahnof, Stresemannallee S-Bahn station, Schweizer Platz U-Bahn Station.
You can find near the apartment many shopping facilities (Rewe, Penny, Lidl, kiosk) and restaurants.
Currently living in the flat :
Svenja (from Germany) works full-time at FES but she spends only 2-3 nights per week at the WG. The other nights she lives in Mannheim. She is our event planner at the WG. Jiji (from Mongolia) works as a baker and also loves making cocktails. Franzi works full time in a start-up and loves to go to the bouldering gym !
We have a great time living together and get along very well. We randomly meet in the kitchen and forget the time spent in deep and funny conversations. On the other hand we put great value on the importance of private space. We would hope for the new candidate to have a similar interest in this kind of WG spirit:)
We have a weekly cleaning schedule, where tasks are equally divided. For this reason we wish that the new candidates already have a similar consideration for the importance of cleaning and respecting the schedule.
The Fees for existing equipment cover:
The oven/stove, the dishwasher, the washing machine, the fridge, kitchen Cabinet, Hallway and Bathroom furniture.
