About the room:
The room is 10 square meters, rectangular with an extra niche. It has a large window facing the south. It also has a pleasant view on a green and soothing scenery (sightings of squirrels is very common). In addition, it is especially quiet at night when the window is open. In midsummer it is always relatively cool in the room.
Things to take into consideration: The niche is exactly 2m long and the bed was crafted specially to fit in it.
The full cost of equipment is 600 €, 300 € for Apartment equipment + The oven/stove, the dishwasher, the washing machine, the fridge, kitchen Cabinet, Hallway and Bathroom furniture. And 300 for room furniture: Table, Chair, 2 cupboards (one black and one white) Bed frame + mattress (bed fits perfectly the niche so you might want to keep it). Metalic shelves on the wall, 2 hanging rails, Carpet, Ceiling light + light bulbs.
We would prefer to sell everything directly but if you already have a few stuffs, it can be discussed.
When moving out the tenant can sell them again to his/her successor.
About the apartment:
The apartment is 92m2 large and consists of 4 bedrooms, a medium Kitchen, a small toilet and a large bathroom with a bathtub. It also has a south-facing balcony accessible from the largest bedroom. The basement includes a common laundry room with a separate washing machine for each flat, clothes drying spaces, and most importantly a private cellar for every apartment.
Bicycles can be parked in the bicycle cellar or in the front yard of the building. The Backyard consists of a small garden that can be shared. For cars, free parking spots are usually abundant on the Gartenstrasse road facing the building.
The Wg is in a very strategic location, very close to the Main river (3min by foot), the university hospital and the Kennedy villa. The Tram station Vogelweidstraße is almost directly in front of the front door (1 min by foot) with a direct connection to Hauptbahnof, Stresemannallee S-Bahn station, Schweizer Platz U-Bahn Station.
You can find near the apartment many shopping facilities (Rewe, Penny, Lidl, kiosk) and restaurants.
Currently living in the flat :
Teresa is working at the Start-up Emma (from Portugal). Victor (from France) works as an developer and is at the moment 100% in home office. And Svenja Working full-time Job at FES but most of the time only 2-3 nights/ week at the WG. The other nights she lives in Mannheim.
Most of the time we are talking in English, so it is necessary for applicants to be able to communicate in English.
We have a great time living together and get along very well. We enjoy spending time cooking and playing games. We randomly meet in the kitchen and forget the time spent in deep and funny conversations. On the other hand we put great value on the importance of private space. We would hope for the new candidate to have a similar interest in this kind of WG spirit:)
We have a WG abend every two weeks, where we get together to cook and talk about Wg related topics. We are very open in sharing our thoughts and ideas and have a great sense of communication.
We have a strict and weekly cleaning schedule, where tasks are equally divided. For this reason we wish that the new candidates already have a similar consideration for the importance of cleaning and respecting the schedule.
