I (Jacopo) am leaving and renting this super nice and big room in this awesome shared flat (WG). The room is 16 m^2 and is part of a 100 m^2 flat shared with other 2 people. The flat has a very big living room, with a table, a big sofa that can be open in a sofa-bed, a coffee table, speakers and several shelves space; a fully-equiped kitchen, with stove top, oven, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, a table, counters and cupboards; bathroom, with sink and shower/bathtube, and separeted toilet; an entrance with some more storage spaces and a small balcony with a table and chairs, that faces an internal garden. The apartment has also a private cellar and a locked space to park bike common to the whole building. The room comes furnished, with a bed with mattress and pillows, a wardrobe, a desk with chair and lamp, a nightstand, small bookshelf and a standing lamp.
The flat is located in Westend-Nord, near the campus of Goethe University (5 min walking) and the big Grunenburgpark (5 min walking). There is a bus stop (M32, 2 min walking) to easily go to Bockenheim (5 min, West), Nordend (5 min, East) and Bornheim (10 min, East); an U-Bahn stop (Miquel-Adickasalle, 5 min walking) to easily go to the city center (10 min) or to Sachsenhausen (15 min, South). The main station (Hauptbahnhof) is 15 min with bus or U-Bahn. All these locations are also easily reachable by bike in max 20 min. Supermarkets, a pharmacy and a kiosk are all very close (5 min walking).
I'm very sad to leave my awesome 2 flatmates that you will find in the WG. Andrea (27, F, from Mexico) and Sohan (27, M, from India) are very easy-going, open-minded and interesting people. They are both young workers, with whom I was able to create a welcoming, warm and respectful living atmosphere. We liked to spend time together, cooking and sharing a meal, having drinks, watching movies and going out, but we were all also very respectful of each others' need for privacy and our own space. This is the kind of relationship and attitute they are looking for.
The rent is 535 euros/month (490 + 45 euros for electricity, internet and tv/radio tax) to be paid at the beginning of the month from January 2022.
The deposit is 1100 euros to be paid with the first rent.
Additional 500 euros cover the cost of the existing equipment in the common rooms (300 euros), since the apartment was empty when people first moved in; and for the furniture in the rented room (200 euros). What you do with the furniture there is up to you, but this cost comes with the renting agreement.
