Room

Room
The room is quite spatious (25 m2) and fully furnished. It is situated on a hill so the windows don t get direct sunlight.

The rest of the flat consists of a hallway, a (somewhat small) kitchen, a bathroom with shower and sink and another bathroom with a toilet + sink. The laundry room is also in the flat share and we usually use the washing machine of the landlords (they live on the floor above) as well. Also other WGs live in the floors above.

Location
Herdern is a very nice, close to nature (if you walk up the street you are in the forest in a few minutes and can walk up to the Schlossberg and there are several other viewpoints in the area) and rather quiet district of Freiburg. But it doesn't take long to get to the city (by bike it's only a few minutes, by streetcar you take line 4 to Tennenbacherstr./Hauptstraße and there is also bus line 27, which stops about 500m from the house). The location is thus clearly one of the plus points of the WG.

WG life
At the moment Anna with her cute hamster Klaus (she is from Barcelona, studies renewable energies in the master, speaks fluent German and will probably move out soon) and Vivi (from Brasil; currently doing his internship in renewables) and Lukas (Fromn Italy, doing the masters degree in Biotech) live in the WG. Both German and English are spoken in the shared flat.
Overall, there is a harmonious life and you can usually find someone to chat with (if you want to) or watch series/movies in the evenings, but at the same time you always have your peace and privacy. There is of course a cleaning schedule and most of the food, etc. everyone buys for themselves, but a few things are also shared and we like to cook.
