Small but nice - that's the room I would like to sublet, because I am going on an Erasmus semester. It is located in a 22 WG in the dormitory Falkenbergerstraße. The room is furnished with a large desk facing the window, a bed, shelves on the wood-paneled walls and a cupboard. Also a sink is available. The rooms have a TV and internet connection. The room is 12.5 square meters and costs 236 euros a month. The SWFR has the room newly renovated in February 2019.
In the garden is a volleyball court, which is used actively, especially in summer. On the ground floor you can stock up on different balls - volleyball, football, handball, which makes the heart. The large cherry tree, the fireplace in the courtyard for barbecue or the secluded sitting area in the garden are reasons enough not to leave the house and garden. In the courtyard is enough space to sit together and connect his bike under the roof. Especially expensive racers can also be accommodated in the locked bike room. In front of the house is a private car park.
If the weather gets bad, there is a table tennis table in the gym for all sports enthusiasts. Here you can also train on equipment. If you like music, you can let off steam in the music room. For example on drums. For quieter sounds there is also a piano here. We also have a bar that regularly invites you to enjoy low-priced cocktails or theme nights during the semester. The bar also offers a foosball table for free use. A large flat-screen TV makes the seminar room appear multifunctional: here you can practice lectures with a blackboard or lounge in the atmosphere on the sofas and watch a movie.
If the Schmutzwäscheberg already swells out of the closet, so are in the basement also coin-washing and drying machines, and a drying room available. There are two PCs in the computer room, and we also have a printer that accepts all print jobs if there is enough credit on the copy card. A document scanner / printer is also in the computer room. The rooms have cable TV and a LAN cable.
Falkenbergerstraße 20 is located in Mooswald, a district in the northwest of Freiburg. By bike it is 12 minutes to the institute district, where the natural sciences are housed. The humanities scientists have to pedal 15 minutes into the city center, so everything is very humane. The technical faculty is around the corner, in 7 minutes you are there by bike. There is enough time to sleep well in the morning and still be in the lecture on time. The new tram stop of the four is also finished and runs during the day in 10 minute intervals. It is a seven-minute walk and is in downtown in eight minutes.
Very prominent in our environment is the Seepark. It is located in the immediate, walking distance to the hostel and invites you to swim and relax together. However, we do not live on the so-called "Stusie" side, ie the lake side with the "Studentensiedlung" of the Studierendenwerk Freiburg, but on the other side of the lake in a residential area. In less than a quarter of an hour you are also at Dreisam, Opfinger See or Tierpark Mundenhof when it gets too colorful in the Seepark.
In Mooswald is on Wednesday and Saturday weekly market, in our vicinity are some culinary delights such as ice cream, doner kebab or beer tavern, if the fridge is empty again. By bike, however, it is also in three minutes at Lidl / Aldi / Rewe and in the newly built Westarkaden with various shopping and dining options can be found for example. In Denn's organic market fancy fare. Right next to the dorm are several bakers, a post office with the possibility of accepting parcels and a savings bank, there are also, for example. two bike shops.
In the large 22er WGs, the majority of the living together of the dormitory takes place. Attention is paid to a balanced proportion of women and men. There are five shared apartments, one on the ground floor and two each on the first and second floor. We do not live anonymously next to each other but know each other and live together. The heart of the coexistence of every shared flat is the living room, which sets up each flat individually. Here is eaten, celebrated and laughed. Also a TV and frozen pizza (in the freezer) is available. The shared flats share two kitchens, four toilets and two shower rooms with two showers each. Cleanliness is important to us! Housekeeping staff clean the toilets, shower and kitchen three times a week. We are responsible for the rest. Please remember that you are responsible for the cleanliness as part of a large shared flat.
Mulled wine evenings in winter, barbecues in summer, Tour de Chambre (party from room to room), watching movies and cooking together - it does not get boring with us. In addition to the activities on the floors, there are bar evenings in our bar and a summer and winter party.
Each semester, a semester fee of 10 euros is due, which goes to the common floor office. Of these, things become e.g. Rinsing agents procured for general use.
The room may only be rented to enrolled students of one of the universities affiliated to the SWFR (Studierendenwerk Freiburg).
