The room is big 20m2 with a balcony and bright. It is squarish and has space for everything one might need. The floor is faux wood as the rest of the flat. The room is south facing and it is quite nice to sit in the balcony during the evenings. There is a shared bathroom and toilet which are separated (no issues in the morning ;)). Previously we had many plants in the balcony (Chillies, potatoes, Herbs).
The existing furniture (including a double bed, chest of drawers, desk, chair, light, nightstand) will be sold. Total price of all furniture is Euro 721.95 but all furniture together can be bought for Euro 505.00.

One of the best things about the flat. It is very close to both the Westarkaden and the Seepark. In the Westarkaden there are Restaurants for fast food, a rewe and dm for groceries and a volksbank. In some time the Aldi will reopen as well giving more shopping opportuinities. A Lidl is only 10 min by foot from the flat if you cant find what you need in the other stores.
If you like to go for a run or walk throught the seepark you are here in the perfect position to do so as it is right around the corner. Also the dreisam is in walking distance which was quite nice during the lockdown to get some exercise.
Tram stations are about 5 min by foot to both Runzmattenweg (line1,3) and Berliner Allee (line 4). And you are in the city center in about 15 min. It is also about 15 min with the bike.
Your main flatmate Abhi is from India and is doing her PhD in Biophysics. She likes to cook, hike, read and draw in her free time. Also she always likes to discuss Science and Philosophy. We will soon get another new flatmates as well as the other flatmate Jiacheng is moving abroad for work.
Over the summer (last years) we (former flatmates) tried to have some plants on the balcony but they all died during the heatwave :'( (we hope to be more careful this year). Abhi was relatively successful in planting some herbs and spinach in the kitchen!! On a side note, some of the Chillies and potatoes survived (we may have hope escaping a Zombie Apocalypse :D ) . Maybe you are good with plants and are able to keep them alive. During the summer the balcony is really nice for sitting in the sun and reading and the likes.
The life in the flat is usually relatively laid back as both Abhi and Jiacheng are busy during the day working in the lab. It would be nice if you have a similar schedule be it work or study.
During the evening and weekends we have some nice cooking session and spend time in our very nice kitchen (fully equipped with a dishwasher!) is the mostly spontaneous meeting point for the flat. Sometimes discussions going way into the night.
Cleaning schedules are put up and we share the cost of main things (cleaning, buying common items) for the house. The environment is relaxed and rather quite as we each have our own schedules.
Abhi speaks English and little less fluent in German, it would be good if you are can speak English as well. We will fix a date for viewing and invite you to have a look at the WG. Then if we find a fit we'll let you know in a week after viewing before signing the contract.
The kitchen utilities are shared, so just bring a good heart and cooking skills are welcome addition!
