Hallo :) (English see below)
Du brauchst also kein Geschirr oder Besteck mitbringen.
Hello :)
---- First things first: You have to be a Student at the University or at one of the Colleges in Freiburg to live here (It´s a SWfR dormitory for students)! -----
I will leave my room in an apartment in the dormitory in Vauban in August. The room has about 12 square meters and is located on the top floor, which means that on one side there is the roof slope which starts about one meter from the floor on the wall. At the moment my bed is standing in that corner so it doesn't bother me at all. Since the ceiling is quite high the room still looks very large. Next to the bed is a window (the ceiling there is "normal", no roof slope), you look out onto a meadow and another house, it is very quiet.
The room currently has a built-in cupboard with a locker, a shelf, a desk with a chair, a bed and a bedside table. If you buy it from me I can leave the Things here (including a Wifi Station).
The bathroom is right next to the room, with a shower, toilet and sink (quite small, but it definitely fulfills ist purpose :)).
In the large kitchen there are 4 cooktops, an oven, a refrigerator and everything you need for cooking. So you don't need to bring any dishes or cutlery.
The flat is a student flat and is located on the 2nd storey of the house. You can either chain your bicycle outside or put it in a Special room for bikes in the basement.
The flat is located in Vauban, also known as the "green / alternative district" of Freiburg. It´s a 3-minute walk to the tram station "Paula-Modersohn-Platz", from where it takes 10 minutes to the city centre and 15 minutes to the central Train station (the tram runs every 7-15 minutes and until midnight; on weekends it runs through the night). With your bicycle it takes you 15 minutes both to the city center and the central train station.
It takes 5 minutes to reach several supermarkets like REWE, ALDI, Alnatura, DM, a bakery, a pharmacy and of course the "Fairteiler" (a public shelf where people can put and take food). The weekly market takes place on Wednesdays, a 5-minute walk away. Despite the good connection to the city center, it is very quiet and you are quickly in the woods, at the river,... e.g. on the Schönberg. Nearby you´ll also find the Vaubar which is a bar for students that opens twice a week.
In October 2 more people will move in so you will definitely be able to shape the life here.
Right now everyone is more or less on their own, occasionally you meet in the kitchen and eat together or talk. In general, however, it is very quiet, we are not a party flat. You can sit on the Meadow in front of the house in the sun or play football, you´ll definitely run across other students and you´ll find someone to make Friends with.
You can chain your bike directly in front of the house.
