The room is a luminous, spacious 25 m2 , with 2 east-facing windows. Despite the central location, the room is super quiet thanks to the thick walls and insulating glass on the windows. The last occupant of the room has used it as a home office for almost a year during the multiple 2020 lockdowns. The apartment is approx. 140 sqm large, warm and well-ventilated, dry and bright. It has a large, tiled bathroom with a washing machine, a dryer, as well as a shower, bathtub, and toilet. There is also a separate small guest WC. The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, a brand-new dishwasher, an electric hob, an oven, and every kitchen gadget you can think of :D The bright dining room is used as a social/ co-living space. Besides the bathroom, the whole apartment has light wood-like vinyl flooring. There is also a spacious balony available which has been newly renovated.
Das Zimmer ist hell, geräumig und 25 m2 groß mit 2 nach Osten zeigenden Fenstern. Trotz der zentralen Lage ist das Zimmer sehr ruhif dank der dicken Wände und der Isolierverglasung der Fenster. Die letzte Bewohnerin des Zimmers hat es fast ein Jahr lang während den mehrfachen Schließungen als Home-Office genutzt. Die Wohnung ist ca. 140 qm groß, warm und gut belüftet, trocken und hell. Sie verfügt über ein großes, gefliestes Bad mit Waschmaschine, Trockner, sowie Dusche, Badewanne und WC. Außerdem gibt es ein separates Gäste-WC. Die Küche ist komplett ausgestattet mit Kühlschrank, nagelneuem Geschirrspüler, Elektroherd, Backofen und allen erdenklichen Küchengeräten :D Das helle Esszimmer wird als Gemeinschaftsraum genutzt. Neben dem Badezimmer ist die gesamte Wohnung mit einem hellen, holzähnlichen Vinylboden ausgestattet. Es gibt auch einen geräumigen Balkon, der neu renoviert wurde.
The location of the apartment could not be more convenient:
- Directly next-door to EDEKA and EDEKA getränkemarkt
- 5 minutes walk to the University Clinic/ Naturwissenschaft Campus
- The Friedrichstr. and Klinikstr. bus stops are respectively 1-min and 3-min walk away
- Railroad station (Hauptbahnhof) is only a 6-7 minutes walk away
- The city center is also within walking distance (less than 15 min)

We, Rawan (31), Adelphe (26) and Matteo (25) are a close-knit group of international students / young professionals. Our WG has a tradition of welcoming and embracing people from all backgrounds. It is the perfect environment for studying / getting work done (now that many of us have to work / attend lectures from home), without compromising on the positive aspects of communal living. We usually keep things quiet during weekdays while we are all busy but gather on weekend nights to cook and dine together and share a few drinks, a lively discussion, and occasionally indulge in some card or board games. In the warmer months, we like barbecuing on our big balcony, going on picnics, hiking, and canoeing among other light outdoor activities. As much as we respect each other's privacy, we prefer that everyone is equally included in our group gatherings and all-important decisions pertaining to the WG-life. Household chores are shared between the flatmates and the shared spaces are kept clean and tidy. We are looking for a like-minded, easy-going person to join our happy little group. Locals and internationals are welcome! Our shared flat language is English :)
Wir, Rawan (31), Adelphe (26) und Matteo (25), sind eine Gruppe von internationalen Studenten und jungen Berufstätigen. In unserer WG ist es Tradition, Menschen mit unterschiedlichem Hintergrund willkommen zu heißen und zu integrieren. Es ist die perfekte Umgebung zum Studieren und Arbeiten (jetzt, wo viele von uns von zu Hause aus arbeiten und Vorlesungen besuchen müssen), ohne die positiven Aspekte des Gemeinschaftslebens zu vernachlässigen. Unter der Woche geht es meist ruhig zu, da wir alle beschäftigt sind, aber am Wochenende treffen wir uns abends, um gemeinsam zu kochen und zu essen, ein bisschen was zu trinken und gelegentlich ein paar Karten- oder Brettspiele zu spielen. In den wärmeren Monaten grillen wir gerne auf unserem großen Balkon, machen Picknicks, wandern und fahren Kanu und unternehmen andere Aktivitäten im Freien. Wir respektieren die Privatsphäre jedes Einzelnen, ziehen es aber vor, dass alle gleichermaßen in unsere Gruppentreffen und in alle wichtigen Entscheidungen, die das WG-Leben betreffen, einbezogen werden. Die Hausarbeit wird unter den Mitbewohnern aufgeteilt und die gemeinsamen Räume werden sauber und ordentlich gehalten. Wir suchen eine gleichgesinnte, unkomplizierte Person, die sich unserer fröhlichen kleinen Gruppe anschließen möchte. Lokale und internationale Gäste sind willkommen! Unsere WG-Sprache ist Englisch :)
The room can be rented starting from 15.09.2021, possibly 01.10.2021. It is currently unfurnished, but there is some furniture that can be taken over for a reasonable fee (the couch and the black shelf). All costs are included in the rent (utilities, internet, GEZ, etc.). There is a one-time 100 euros contribution for the recently purchased appliances / balcony furniture. Das Zimmer kann zum 15.09.2021, ggf. zum 01.10.2021, bezogen werden. Derzeit ist es unmöbliert, aber es gibt einige Möbel, die gegen eine angemessene Gebühr übernommen werden können (das Sofa und das schwarze Regal). Alle Kosten sind in der Miete enthalten (Nebenkosten, Internet, GEZ, etc.). Für die neu angeschafften Geräte / Balkonmöbel gibt es einen einmalige Zahlung von 100 Euro.
