Hello person looking for a room. I'm Thorge, a student at the University and currently looking for a roommate. I'm from Germany, but in the interest of inclusivity I'm writing in English. Basically: international students welcome.
Room is part of a 2 person flat with view to the south. It is about 13 square meters. We share a balcony, also facing south, which is a lovely place to spend time and procrastinate.
Even though we live in the center of Göttingen it is very quiet around us. Shopping opportunities are about 5 minutes away by foot. If you ever need something fast the "best Kiosk in town" is directly across the street.
The central campus is 15 minutes on foot away. To get to the northern part I recommend a bike or simply taking the bus (Both takes about 20 minutes). The station is one street away and takes you basically everywhere.
Right now I'm finishing my degree and afterwards I will probably start an apprenticeship. So during the week I will be mostly at work. Which is why I value a connection with my roommate. Lets have drinks and cook together, you know? Our flat is not large, which means two people ignoring each other on a daily basis diminishes the living quality quite a bit. That doesn't mean I don't respect boundaries (I need them myself). It is all about balance.
I do not abide fascists, racists, bigots, sexists, homophobes, transphobes or general dipshitery. Other than that, come on in.
I'm a media student and video editor. So naturally I'm into movies but also literature and philosophy. I love cooking and expanding the recopies in my repertoire. I currently get half a box of fresh vegetables form a local collective every week for thirty bucks a month. Usually there is enough to share if you would be interested to chip in.
One of my previous roomates build a bed/storage space in the room which we have not dismantled since. We both found it is a very efficient way to organize the room. You would have the possibility to keep the bed and drawers for a small price (50 Euros). If you are not interested it will be gone come moving day.
