Wir, Johanna und Mona, suchen eine weitere Person für unsere 3er WG. Wir sind Anfang/ Mitte 30, leidenschaftliche Geisteswissenschaftlerinnen und haben beide eine Promotions-Stelle an der Uni Göttingen. Wie freuen uns besonders über Bewerbungen von Personen, die auch bereits ein berufstätiges Leben haben und somit die Hochs und Tiefs dieses Lebensabschnittes mit uns teilen könnten. :-)
Das freie Zimmer ist ca. 16qm2 groß (und damit das größte Zimmer der WG), hat einen alten, charmanten Holzfußboden, hohe Decken und ein sehr großes Fenster (sodass trotz Nordseite viel Licht hineinfällt). Bisher hat es im Wechsel mal als Wohnzimmer der WG gedient oder auch als weitere WG-Zimmer.

We, Johanna and Mona, are looking for a third person to share our flat with. We are in our early/mid-30s and we work together at the University of Göttingen (PhD positions in the humanities). We are especially looking forward to hear from you, if you have a professional life as well and could therefore share the ups and downs of this stage of life with us. :-)
The vacant room is about 16 sqm (the largest room in the flat), has an old, charming wooden floor, high ceilings and a very large window (so that there is a good amount of light in the room despite being on the north side). So far, it has alternately served as our living room or as the room of another member of our shared flat who is now moving out.
Die Lage der Wohnung ist ideal: Direkt am Wall, fußläufig zum Bahnhof (ca. 10min) und gleichermaßen zur Innenstadt. Diverse Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in direkter Nähe und die Leine ist auch nicht weit weg.

The location of the flat is ideal: directly on the so called Wall, within walking distance of the train station (approx. 10 min) and it lies in the city centre. Various facilities for grocery shopping are close by and the river Leine is also not far away.
Der Rest der Wohnung besteht aus Monas Zimmer, Johannas Zimmer, Küche, Bad und einem kleinen Flur. Die Küche ist groß genug, sodass hier auch zusammen gegessen werden kann, was wir auch immer wieder gerne tun. Für die Ordentlichkeit der gemeinsamen Bereiche sind wir natürlich alle zusammen verantwortlich und dabei aber von der Sorte, dass wir auch Verständnis haben, wenn im durchaus mal stressigen Alltag nicht alles sofort weggeräumt und verstaut werden kann und das erst ein wenig später passiert.
Außerdem teilt sich das gesamte Haus einen kleinen, sehr gemütlichen Garten. Hier lässt es sich einen Kaffee/Tee in der Sonne trinken oder in der warmen Jahreszeit abends noch ein Bier schlürfen. Dabei lässt es sich auch immer wieder mit unseren netten Nachbar:innen plauschen. Außerdem kann im Garten ein Rad abgestellt werden.

The rest of the flat consists of Mona's room, Johanna's room, kitchen, bathroom and a small hallway. The kitchen is big enough so that we can eat together, what we often like to do. Of course, we are all responsible for the tidiness of the common areas, but we also understand that in the sometimes stressful daily routine, not everything can be put away and stored immediately.
In addition, the entire house shares a small, very cosy garden. Here you can drink a coffee/tea in the sun or sip a beer in the evening during the warmer months. You can also chat with our nice neighbours. And you can park your bike in the garden.
Besonders an der Wohnsituation ist, dass unsere beiden Arbeitsverträge nur noch bis Januar bzw. März nächsten Jahres laufen. Es ist gut möglich und sogar wahrscheinlich, dass wir dann beide auch Göttingen verlassen. Wir suchen also auch eine neue Person, die perspektivisch Lust hat, den Hauptmietvertrag zu übernehmen (was bisher mit der Hausverwaltung immer gut geklappt hat, von daher gehen wir davon aus, dass das auch diesmal klappen sollte) und vielleicht auch nach unserem Weiterziehen die Wohnung weiter als WG oder in einer anderen Konstellation weiter zu beleben. Ein Großteil der Küche, sowie Spül- und Waschmaschine könnten dann gegen eine faire Ablöse übernommen werden.

What is special about the housing situation is that both of our employment contracts only run until January and March of next year. It is quite possible and even likely that we will both leave Göttingen then. So we are also looking for a new person who would like to take over the main tenancy agreement (which has always worked out well with the property management and the landlords so far, so we assume that this should also work out this time). It would be nice if you would continue to live in the flat as a shared flat or in another constellation after we move on. A large part of the kitchen, as well as the dishwasher and washing machine, could then be taken over for a fair price.
