ENGLISH VERSION:
ROOM:
The room is very nice and spacious with a high ceiling, as our apartment is an old building. The window faces the courtyard and the trees in the courtyard make you feel very quiet and unobserved.
I would love to resell most of the furniture in the room, but of course only if you want it:)
There is a deposit of 1,250 euros, which will be returned in full when you move out, provided that no damage has occurred.
The apartment is overall very spacious, there is a wardrobe and a shoe rack in the hallway, the kitchen is very, very well equipped and has a large storage room. Towels are also provided if you want them. The bathroom is very nice and big and you have plenty of space for your stuff.
In total, the rent (utilities included) is 453 euros. The incidental expenses arise from wifi, electricity and heating.
LOCATION:
The location is very central (9 min to Jakominiplatz, 5 to Kaiser-Josef-Platz). The nearest bus station is 1 minute away and the nearest supermarket (Spar) is less than 100 metres away. The location is very practical, especially for students who study at the Alte Technik or the Kunstuniversität, both of which can be reached in 4 minutes. (But you can also get to the Karl Franzens University in about a quarter of an hour).
LIFE IN THE WG:
There are two wonderful students living in the flat-share, aged 21 and 24, who are both studying at the Technical University and who will definitely give you a very warm welcome. From my own experience, I can only say that there have never been any problems, but on the contrary, my flatmates have only brought me many wonderful memories due to their lovely, open and absolutely uncomplicated nature:)
I would say that we are/were basically a rather quiet flat-sharing community, very sociable but not the party flat-sharing par excellance. Guests are not a problem at all, although it is very desirable to inform about longer guests in advance and to briefly discuss who will be there and when. We usually each cook for ourselves, but even without cooking we have always spent a lot of time together in the kitchen, which somewhat replaces the living room.
We definitely keep our flat clean and tidy, without going crazy but certainly tending to be on the tidy side ;) There is a very balanced cleaning schedule that has always worked well so far!
