Room

Hello,

The apartment is on the raised ground floor, so you don't have to climb many stairs to get there :-) There are 2.5 rooms in total. The other roomatw will occupy one room, you will occupy the other. The two rooms are roughly the same size (approx. 15 sqm), the only difference is that you have a balcony attached to yours. Then there is a cozy and quite large kitchen-living room where you can sit, chat and eat, a medium-sized bathroom with a bathtub and a small room that is used for storage and hanging up laundry. We also have a basement room where you can easily store furniture or bicycles.
Your future room is friendly and bright with large windows and a balcony door. It also has a wooden floor, which I think is really nice. The balcony is big enough for three people to sit there and have a leisurely breakfast outside in the morning. The room is rented unfurnished, but the two white chairs on the balcony belong to the shared apartment and can be used further.

Location

The apartment is right next to the Burgstraße subway stop (2 to 3 minutes walk), where the U2 and U4 run. During the day, the subways sometimes run every 2 minutes. On a Sunday or at night, you only have to wait 10 minutes for the train. In 5 minutes you are at the main station (only 2 subway stops), and if you want to walk, you can be at the main station in half an hour. Various bus lines also run from here.
The Landwehr (S1, S11) and Wartenau (U1) stops are not too far away. You can also walk to Landwehr (approx. 10 minutes), but it is best to take the bus to Wartenau.
From here you can reach all parts of Hamburg very quickly, which I find very convenient. This is particularly beneficial if you work and have little time.
There is a large Aldi supermarket right around the corner, as well as Lidl, REWE and Edeka. However, I often take the subway one stop and then shop at Kaufland at Berliner Tor. It also takes a maximum of 10

Flatshare Type

Your future roommate is 35 years old, has a job and works as a social worker in a children's and youth residential group (children's home). Since she works 24-hour shifts, she is sometimes not at home overnight. There are phases in which she works a lot and is out and about a lot. Claudia also does a lot of sport (fitness, preferably in groups).

Even though she often has a lot on her plate, it would be important to her that this is not a shared flat for convenience, that people also like to sit together and chat, cook together or do things together - without any pressure and as it happens. She thinks it's nice when people ask each other how the other person is or how their day was. She thinks it would be worst if they just lived next to each other. She definitely doesn't want that!

But it is definitely also important to her that the work is distributed fairly and that not everything falls on one person. Since she is no longer a student, it has become more and more important to her to have a nice home where everyone can feel comfortable and that is relatively clean! It would be nice if both parties paid attention to this :-)

Miscellaneous

There is no need to pay a deposit as you future roomate has taken out deposit insurance. For this you would have to pay her 35 euros once a year in addition to the rent.

I am still living in the apartment, my move out date is not decided yet but it will be after june. I will start my new job in University of Potsdam , so if you hava a wg with 30-35 min of distance from Golm campus of uni potsdam either in berlin/ potsdam feel free to get in touch with me for further details. The room is furnished currently , depending on the availability of furniture in my next home I will decide if I will take the furniture with me or not . If not I would like to have 250 euros ( negotiable little bit) for the same. It has one 180* 200 bed, a wardrobe, sofa, coffee table, working table, office chair, chest of drawers, and carpet.

I will provide the photos once we get along with each other.

If you are interested in the shared room, please write to Claudia directly by email:

Please also tell us a little about yourself so that I can get a little impression of you! Ilooks forward to hearing/reading from you!! :)

Best wishes
Shivani
