The room is about 20 square meters and is rented fully furnished! :)
The bedroom is on the east side, and the window makes the sunlight come directly into the room in the morning (but the blackout is super good if you like to sleep a little bit more like me).
In the evening, you can have dinner, drinks and enjoy the sunset on the balcony with a fantastic view of Heidelberg!
Plus, as the sun sets on the opposite side of the bedroom, they are always fresh in the evening, which makes it perfect for sleeping in these warm summer months even without a fan! :D
The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary appliances and has plenty of counter space for cooking and entertaining.
The living area is bright and airy and has plenty of seating for relaxing and socializing.
The apartment is conveniently located close to public transportation, shops, restaurants, and other amenities.
This is an ideal flatshare for those looking for a comfortable and convenient living space.
The apartment is located in the Rohrbach district, less than 1 min to Rohrbach Market (tram/bus stop) and 2 mins to Eichendorffplatz.
It takes about 10 minutes by bicycle to Bismarckplatz or Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station) and 15 mins with tram line 23/24.
For those going to Heidelberg University/DKFZ, it also takes 15 minutes biking.
For EMBL/MPI fellows like me, it takes less than 10 min biking/tram to Alois-Link Platz (where you can take the 39/39A bus to EMBL/MPI only 10 min more).
In the immediate vicinity, there is a supermarket, a pharmacy, a post office, a bicycle shop, and a bakery. All wishing 2-3 mins walk.
Big supermarkets/Bouldering/Gym are all in 5 minutes distance biking.
For all these biking distances I mentioned, I'm also happy to borrow my bike if you wish to use it within this period! :)
I'm 25yo and a researcher at EMBL/Heidelberg University Hospital.
I'll be travelling for the whole month of July to Brazil, so most probably we will interact a lot with my lovely flatmate Munir! :)
Munir is 30yo and a young full-time software developer. He goes to the office 3-4 times a week and the rest of the days work from the home office. He does a lot of sports in his free time (bouldering, gym, cricket, tennis, beach volley).
His work and sports keep him busy, but whenever he's at home he likes to cook for everyone (and he makes amazingly good recipes!), watch tv, and read!
We are all a bit extrovert, and we love to talk whenever we are in the mood :)
We also do many things together learn stuff together, have food, go out for a walk, and eat in the city are my main activities.
So, It'd be super nice if you would like to join any of the activities, and if not then we are also fine with that and respect your privacy.
One thing which we need to make sure of is that when it comes to the common area, we follow some basic rules and keep the apartment organised.
