Searching for a quiet WG-Zimmer while I learn german at die Volkshochschule.

Hello everyone,
I'm searching for a quiet room in the area around the Volkshochschule while I learn German there although anything in Ilmenau would be Ok. I currently live and work on a farm in the Thuringian forest and as you can imagine it is a bit remote.; so I would like to find a place starting in August, when my classes begin, through February 2020 in the city.

Quickly about me:
I'm originally from Dallas, Texas, USA and I am trying to live and study here in Germany. I will need to master the language before I can start studying though and Ilmenau seems to be a good affordable place where I can do that. I'm a quiet and easy to live with person (at least in my opinion :P) In my spare time I like to play piano or bass guitar; I'm also extremely interested with anything to do with space or sci-fi (books, movies, TV, ideas, etc.) Ideally I'd like to find somewhere that's quiet and where I can meet new people and maybe even go for drinks sometimes. I am not a very experienced cook but I'd like to learn more and so I don't mind cooking a couple times per week.
