Big, bright furnished room for rent near university

Hello!

I am an international student here in Kiel, and I have to leave my wonderful room unexpectedly soon. Therefore, I have agreed to help my roommate find someone to replace me in my room, because he is very busy.

The room and apartment:

We live in a beautiful, quiet apartment very close to the uni. The room is very cosy and quite large. It is fully furnished with a bed, couch, TV, desk, table, and even some beautiful plants and a big window with a lot of natural light. I love living here, and I find the location very convenient to the uni and not far from the city center (10 min by bus, less by bike). The ALDI is right next door, we have a lot of greenery around, etc. My roommate is extremely orderly, keeps things very clean, and keeps the apartment beautifully decorated and owns quality kitchen appliances, etc. He expects a roommate that is also clean, relatively quiet, and respectful of his furnishings and other things in the house.

About my roommate:

He is great! His name is Hafedh, 27 years old. He comes from Tunisia, but has lived in Germany for 5 years, and before that lived for 7 years in France. He works on yachts, and he speaks German very well, also French, and only a tiny bit of English. He hopes to find a new roommate that is also international, so that he can be exposed to English or other foreign languages. (Spanish would be good, too!) My German is really not very good, but he has been extremely patient with speaking slowly and clearly to me, and he has really helped me to improve my German. If you are an international student looking to improve your German, the situation is perfect for mutual language learning.

Hafedh works very hard and is often very busy. When he has a lot of work, he often leaves early in the morning and comes home late, so you will have quite a lot of privacy, but he would appreciate a roommate that is quiet in the evening and isn’t expecting to host big parties, because he must wake up early. At the same time, he is very nice and flexible, and has been happy to let me make dinner parties (not big drinking parties!) with friends. Although Hafedh is very busy, he would also appreciate having a roommate that will like to get to know him and do things together (eat meals, go for a bike rides, go out to see music) when he has time.

You must agree to stay in the room for at least 6 months. One year would be better.
