The room is in a 3 room flatshare. It faces sunset with the view of the cathedral (in winters only). There is a Lidl exactly opposite the building as seen in the pictures. The room includes a queen size bed, tall cupboard, a tall open shelf, a table and a chair. The existing equipment for which you'll be paying are the cupboard, shelf and the white board. (White board can be optional for which €10 discount will be provided). There is also an under table cabinet for stationary items. The room has wooden flooring and a huge window with blinds.
The room is on the 4th floor of a building in Humboldt/Gremberg in Kalk. An S-Bahn Station(trimbornstrasse) is 4min by walk. A tram stop (line 1 and line 9) is 7 min by walk. A bus stop (bus 153 and bus 159) is 2 min by walk. There is a Lidl right opposite the building as shown in the picture. Köln Arcaden (a shopping complex) is near the tram stop where there's everything needed. There are salons, eateries, park, post office, kiosks, and more within 5-10min walking distance. Technische Hochschule is 7 min walk away and uni Köln is 20min by tram. The city center and Rhein are also 15min by tram. Hauptbahnhof can be reached within 5min via the S-Bahn Station. Köln-Bonn Airport can be reached in 15min as well. Basically everything you might need is available..
You will be living with two Germans (Konstantin and Domenick). They are both students studying sociology and language respectively. They are open in communicating issues politely. The house is always maintained clean (with a schedule if agreed by all). You have utmost privacy since it's the last floor in the building. The The neighbours are also nice people. The bathroom has a bathtub if that's something you're into. The toilet is separate from the bathroom. You also have a dishwasher and washing machine right in the house.
The costs of existing equipment include a one time payment for the kitchen appliances.
The room is initially for a sublet for 5 months. The contract can only be given from September. So, the place is ideal for someone who is already residing in Köln and don't need an Anmeldung. It can be converted to a long term if you are well settled and with the decision of the other two flatmates.
Note that when the contract is drafted from September, there will be a deposit fees as well.
