Dein zukünftiges Zimmer wird unmöbliert übergeben, hat 17 qm und ist zur ruhigen Straße hin ausgerichtet. Außerdem hat die Wohnung noch ein innengelegenes Bad mit einer Badewanne, eine gut ausgestattete Küche, ein Ess-/Wohnzimmer, und einen Balkon Richtung Innenhof. Zu der Wohnung gehören auch ein Kellerabteil und eine Abstellkammer auf halber Treppe. Die Warmmiete beträgt 304 € + 45 € Nebenkosten (Strom, Internet, GEZ), also insgesamt 349 €/Monat.

Die Wohnung befindet sich in Volkmarsdorf etwa zwischen Dresdner Str. und Eisenbahnstraße. Wir haben den Vorteil, sowohl in der Nähe von der Eisi (Bars, Cafes, Läden, usw.) als auch in einer ruhigen Straße nah am Grünen zu wohnen (Stünzer Park, Kleingärten sowie das Rabet und der Lena-Voigt-Park, wenn du die als Grünfläche zählst ;)).

Da meine Mitbewohnerin für einen Job aus Leipzig wegzieht, suche ich (William – 27) eine:n neue:n Mitbewohner:in :). Ich komme aus den USA, wohne aber schon länger in Europa (2 Jahre Wien, 2 Jahre Leipzig). Da ich dieses Semester meine Masterarbeit schreibe (studiere European Studies bzw. Osteuropastudien), bin ich oft in der Bib, wo ich mich hauptsächlich ablenken lasse. Ich interessiere mich für politische und gesellschaftliche Themen, mache gern Sport, koche/backe/lese viel und bin oft mit Freund:innen unterwegs. In den schönen Monaten findet man mich entweder am Kulki, auf einem Fahrradausflug mit meinem Freund, oder in dem Garten, den ich mit ein paar Freund:innen teile. Als Mensch bin ich etwas ruhig aber trotzdem gesellig und kontaktfreudig, und ich habe einen sehr aktiven wenn auch etwas trockenen Humor. Wichtig ist mir vor allem, dass wir uns verstehen und gut miteinander leben können (Kommunikation, Sauberkeit, Rücksichtnahme, usw.)… eine enge Freundschaft ist immer schön aber natürlich kein Muss, ein offenes und angenehmes Miteinander allerdings schon :)
Since my roommate is leaving Leipzig for a job, I (William – 27) am looking for someone to take her place :). I’m originally from the U.S. but have been living in Europe for a while now (2 years in Vienna, 2 in Leipzig) and generally like it here. Currently I’m in the library a lot since I’m working on my master’s thesis (I study (East) European Studies), but I try not to let that get in the way of Leipzig’s many distractions. I’m generally politically interested, try to get enough exercise, love cooking/baking/reading, and enjoy spending evenings with friends when the global public health situation allows. During the glorious summer months, you can find me at Kulki, on a lil’ bike trip with my boyfriend, or in the garden that I keep with a few friends. As a person I’m quiet but pretty sociable and outgoing and I have an active (if somewhat dry) sense of humor. For me it's mostly important that we understand each other well and live well together (communication, cleanliness, respect, etc.) – a close friendship is always nice but isn't a must, as long as we have an open and comfortable coexistence :)
