After a year in Germany, it's time for me to leave the country for new adventures abroad.
The room I'm leaving is a huge 28m2 located in a 3 rooms flat on the second floor (under the roof) of an old style building, a street away from Johannisplatz (Grassi Museum).
As I said, the room is really big and can be arranged according to convenience. The room is equipped with 2 velux windows allowing to air it well and to make it bright all year long.
The furniture shown in the photo is not included in the rental but we can arrange for you to buy the ones I won't bring back with me.
The rent for this room is 385 euros and includes all charges (electricity, heating, water and wifi).
As I said, the appartement is really well located, a street away from Johannisplatz and 5 minutes from Augustusplatz and Wilhelm-Leuschner Platz. You have also acces to quasi all tram lines from Johannisplatz or Augustusplatz and the appartment is 15 minutes away from the Hauptbahnhof. You can also walk to Bayerische Bahnhof or Wilhelm Leuschner Platz in order to take the S-Bahn to go almost everywhere.
The district area is rather calm and you can find a few supermaket (Konsum or Edeka) less than 2 minutes away.
Regarding the neighborhood, we have not organized many parties but there has never been any problem of neighborhood or a too noisy neighbor.
As for the common areas, the bathroom is large with a bathtub and a washing machine. Good to know: The toilet is also in the bathroom.
The kitchen is large, bright and very well equipped. The cooking plates and the fridge have just been changed. There is everything you need to cook: oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, mixer, etc...
The two other inhabitants of the apartment are Federica, 27 years old, who comes from Italy and is doing her PhD in Leipzig and Lisa, 28 years old, who is German and a dentist.
When she's not working, Federica loves to sing and play guitar (she's in a band that you can follow on Instagram), so singing shouldn't be a problem for you.
Lisa is less often at the apartment and more often at friends' or family's houses. She really likes Christmas decorations and Harry Potter evenings.
In the apartment everyone has their own life but we do have dinner together from time to time or have a movie night.
As far as organization is concerned, the cleaning is done according to a precise schedule every week.
My roommates are looking for people who stay long term (more than a year at least), who know how to behave in a flat share. The schedule for cleaning is very important.
Of course, internationals are welcome, but we are not looking for Erasmus students.
If you are interested in the apartment, please do not hesitate to contact us and tell us about yourself (what you like to do, why you are in Leipzig) and we will contact you for a visit.
