The free room is located in east direction to the street which makes it nice and bright. It has an archway. The floor has an incline (like the whole flat basically) and has a sisal carpet.
Location
Our flat is located in the old city, next to the “Lambertiplatz”. Most locations in the old city are reachable within 5 minutes by feet. If you need to go to the central station or to the university, you will need about 10 minutes by bike.
One side of our flat is located towards the Salzstraße and the other side towards the backyard. We do hear passing cars or people from the one side and also have trees and some nature in the back.
Hello you,
how nice that you are searching for a new home. Us: Flo, Hanna, Anne, Kia and Celine are searching for a sixth person to live with us. Now we want to give you some information about how we live together, so that you can sense if this home might be something for you.
Community based living is really important to us. We do not simply want to share a flat. We share many moments together and also share our food and what we buy. Twice a week we go to the local market, buying vegetables and other products. Due to ecological reasons, we mostly buy regional, seasonal and ecological.
We buy other groceries such as pasta, rice or legumes in so called “unverpackt Läden” like (KoKo or plietsch), where we try to use less plastic by using our own packaging. We share our monthly money for food. Additionally to the 100€ that each of us pays per month, we add food from the foodsharing initiative. In the evenings we come together to cook for everyone. Of cause this is also being influenced by individual plans and wishes. We want to make sure that when we cook, there is enough food for us and also for visitors and guests.
Our Household
We aim towards an atmosphere of care and and awareness for what is needed. We organise ourselves without any “cleaning plans”, because everyone of us feels responsible for the cleanliness and cozyness of our home.
If each of us would pay the same price each month, each would pay 350€. But as we organise ourselves in a way of solidarity with money, the price you pay, depends on what you want and can give.
We wish to truly engage with each other and give ourselves space to exchange about what really moves us. We live together in a more familial way and we meet additionally to daily meetings like eating or talking between different meetings. We try to find a flexible routine, making use of several community tools that support our wish to learn about communicating like Sharing or nonviolent communication. The question on how we want to live together as a community and also in our individual lives, moves us a lot.
Our living room, our rooftop terrace, as well as our big hall, are all community spaces, that we create and in which we spend time together. At the same time, it is important to us that each of us can spend time on their own as well. We want everyone to feel free to do or not do whatever. By living together, we want to keep on learning how to communicate our needs and our wishes. By writing about these values and principles that we have, we wonder if it might seem inflexible or too fixated. It is really important to us, that all of what we have just mentioned, is still moveable and changeable. We want to engage with topics and ideas, that are present within our community, so everyone is part of that process.
Now we have talked enough about ourselves! We invite you to write to us, if you feel interested and want to get to know each other. If you are looking for a shared, familial home, having the wish to bring your own ideas, wishes and questions within a community please contact us.
We are excited to hear from you.
Thank you for your interest and we hope to meet you soon,
Celine, Hanna, Kia, Flo, Anne
