Das Zimmer ist mit seiner Fläche von 27 m^2 und quadratischem Schnitt sehr geräumig und das größte Zimmer der Wohnung. Auf Grund der früheren Nutzung der Wohnung als Bürogebäude sind alle Wände nach außen vollständig mit Fenstern versehen. Steckdosen sind ausreichend vorhanden und es befinden sich zwei Heizkörper im Zimmer. Die Wände wurden erst vor einigen Monaten neu gestrichen und der Parkett-Boden ist auch in gutem Zustand. Die Möbel des Zimmers können nicht übernommen werden.
Die Wohnung besitzt 2 Badezimmer. Eines davon mit Dusche und das andere mit Badewanne und Waschmaschine.
Die Einbauküche ist ebenfalls in gutem Zustand und noch relativ neu. Eine Spülmaschine ist auch vorhanden. Zudem ist die Küche ausreichend mit Geschirr versehen und alle wesentlichen Küchengeräte sind auch vorhanden.
The room is very spacious with its area of 27 m^2 and square cut and is the largest room in the flat. Due to the former use of the flat as an office building, all walls to the outside are completely windowed. There are plenty of power sockets and there are two radiators in the room. The walls were repainted only a few months ago and the parquet floor is also in good condition. The furniture of the room cannot be taken over.
The flat has 2 bathrooms. One with a shower and the other with a bathtub and a washing machine.
The kitchen is also in good condition and relatively new. A dishwasher is also available. Furthermore, the kitchen is sufficiently equipped with dishes and all essential kitchen utensils are also present.

Die Wohnung findet sich mitten in der Neustadt, einem der hipperen Stadteile Mainz'. In der Nähe sind viele Restaurants, Bars und Cafés. Alle wichtigen Stadtteile sind zügig zu Fuß erreichbar. Man ist 2 min von der Bushaltestelle Kurfürstenstraße entfernt, sowie 10 min vom Mainzer Hauptbahnhof, von dem man mit der Tram oder dem Bus in 7 min an der Universität ist. Mit dem Fahrrad erreicht man die Universität auch in 15 min, wobei es etwas bergauf geht.
Auch zum Rhein braucht man nur wenige Minuten, was sich zum Joggen oder Spazieren anbietet, oder im Sommer zum Treffen mit Freunden.
The flat is located in the middle of Neustadt, one of the hipper parts of Mainz. There are many restaurants, bars and cafés nearby. All important parts of the city are within walking distance. It is 2 minutes from the Kurfürstenstraße bus stop and 10 minutes from Mainz's main railway station, from where you can reach the university in 7 minutes by tram or bus. You can also reach the university in 15 minutes by bike, although it is a bit uphill.
The Rhine is also only a few minutes away, which is ideal for jogging or walking, or in summer for meeting friends.
Wir sind erst im August in die Wohnung eingezogen, weshalb noch ein paar Möbel im Flur, wie eine Garderobe fehlen. Ich denke, das sollte dann aber zum Einzugsdatum alles vorhanden sein. Umso trauriger ist es, dass ich auf Grund einer beruflichen Veränderung schon wieder im Februar ausziehen muss. Meine beiden Mitbewohner sind beide Doktoranden der Chemie und dementsprechend tagsüber auf der Arbeit. Einmal die Woche wird in der Regel zusammen gekocht.
We only moved into the flat in August, so there is still some furniture missing in the hallway, like a coat rack. I think everything should be in place by the time you move in. It's all the sadder that I have to move out again in February due to a change in my job. My two flatmates are both PhD students in chemistry and are therefore at work during the day. We usually cook together once a week.
Das Haus verfügt über zwei Aufzüge, die vor allem beim Umzug sehr hilfreich sind. Des Weiteren ist für jede Wohnung ein Stellplatz in der Tiefgarage gegen Aufpreis vorgesehen. Da wir kein Auto besitzen, wurde dieses Angebot aber bisher nicht wahrgenommen. In der Tiefgarage finden sich auch die Stellplätze für Fahrräder.
The house has two lifts, which come in handy especially when moving. Furthermore, each flat has a parking space in the underground garage for an extra charge. Since we don't own a car, we haven't taken this offer up so far. The underground car park also has parking spaces for bicycles.
