WG-Zimmer zur Zwischenmiete Mitte April bis Ende September (mit Option auf Verlängerung)

Die Wohnung liegt am Rande des beliebten Neustadtviertels. In der Nähe sind der Rhein, der Zollhafen und zahlreiche Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Rewe, Alnatura, Lidl, Aldi), die in 5-10 min fußläufig zu erreichen sind. Vor unserer Haustür befindet sich eine Fahrradstation, an der du dir für kurze und auch für lange Strecken ein Fahrrad ausleihen kannst. Die Verkehrsanbindung ist allgemein tiptop, Bus-und Bahnhaltestelle sind unter 5 Minuten erreichbar, an der Uni, am Hauptbahnhof und in der Stadt ist man dann innerhalb von 5-15 min da. Im Sommer ist es ganz schön in die Neustadt zu spazieren oder am Rhein zu picknicken. Wir haben auch kleine Parks um die Ecke. Du kannst dich da entspannen, mit Freunden Tischtennis spielen oder einfach die Sonne genießen.

The apartment is on the edge of the popular Neustadtviertel. Nearby are the Rhine, the Zollhafen and numerous shops (Rewe, Alnatura, Lidl, Aldi), which can be reached on foot in 5-10 minutes. There is a bike station in front of our house where you can rent a bike for both short and long distances. The transport connection is generally top notch, bus and train stops can be reached under 5 minutes, you can be there within 5-15 minutes at the university, the main train station and in the city. In summer it's nice to walk around the Neustadtviertel or to have a picnic at the Rhine-River. We also have small parks around the corner. You can relax there, play table tennis with friends or just enjoy the sun.

Wir wohnen zu dritt in einer Dreizimmerwohnung. Du wohnst zusammen mit meinem Partner Jonas (25) und Aaron (28). Jonas studiert Mediendramaturgie. Er beginnt im Mai sein Praktikum und schreibt danach seine Masterarbeit. Aaron arbeitet als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an der Universität Mainz und hat zuvor seine Master in Kulturanthropologie abgeschlossen. Ich selbst (28) habe Kunst/Kunstpädagogik und Philosophie studiert und beginne eine befristete Stelle als Kunstvermittlerin in Kassel.
Ich würde das WG-Leben als ruhig, respektvoll und familiär beschreiben. Jede_r hat seinen Freiraum, um Gäste einzuladen, sich in sein_ihr Zimmer zurückziehen und zu arbeiten. Gleichzeitig unternehmen wir auch gerne was miteinander, wie Ausgehen, Filme schauen, Zocken, Spieleabende veranstalten, gemeinsam kochen und Essen teilen. Das WG-Leben besteht schon stabile 5 Jahre. Wir haben das alles ganz gut ohne Putzplan managen können. Wir vertrauen einander und gehen davon aus, dass die Person, die Chaos gemacht hat das dann auch irgendwann wegräumt. Wenn wir jedoch merken, dass eine Person im Stress ist, dann räumen wir mal was weg oder übernehmen den Abwasch. Es herrscht zusammengefasst ein solidarisches Miteinander. Food sharing ist caring, aber kein Muss, da jede_r von uns seinen eigenen Vorratsschrank und Kühlschrankfach hat. Im Haus selbst leben viele Student_innen, wir haben eine WhatsApp-Gruppe, wo wir für uns gegenseitig Pakete annehmen und ab und an auch mal Food-Sharing-Lebensmittel im Hausflur stehen.
Für dich bedeutet es insgesamt; du kannst das WG-Leben natürlich mitgestalten, aber auch dein Ding machen und in Ruhe in Mainz ankommen.
Jonas und Aaron kommen dir da entgegen. Sie sind sehr rücksichtsvolle Menschen, geben dir Freiraum und beantworten dir gerne Fragen zu Mainz, der Gegend, Uni etc.

The three of us live in a three-room apartment. You live with my partner Jonas (25) and Aaron (28). Jonas studies media dramaturgy. He will start his internship in May and then write his master's thesis. Aaron works as a research assistant at the University of Mainz and previously completed his master's degree in cultural anthropology. I (28) studied Fine Arts/Art education and philosophy and will be working as an Art Mediator in Kassel.
I would describe the WG-life as quiet, respectful and familiar. Everyone has their own space. You can invite guests, retreat to your room and work. At the same time, we also like to do things together, such as going out, watching films, gambling, organizing game nights, cooking together and sharing food. Our WG-life has been stable for 5 years. We were able to manage household pretty well without a cleaning plan. We trust each other and assume that the person who made the mess will clean it up. However, if we notice that a person is stressed, then we take care, put stuff away or wash the dishes. In summary, we live in solidarity with each other. Food sharing is caring, but not a must, as each of us has our own pantry and fridge compartment. Many students live in the house itself, we have a WhatsApp group where we accept packages for each other and from time to time there are food-sharing groceries in the hallway.
This means for you: Of course you can help to shape life in the shared apartment, but you can also do your own things, arrive in Mainz an calm down.
Jonas and Aaron will meet you there. They are very considerate people, give you freedom and are happy to answer your questions about Mainz, the area, the university, etc.

Nun, du fragst dich eventuell, warum ich die Anzeige nicht auschließlich zur Zwischenmiete hochgeladen habe. Es gibt nämlich die Option, dass du auch längerfristig in der WG wohnen kannst. Aaron wird dieses Jahr nämlich ausziehen. Ich ziehe, dann in sein Zimmer, sodass, falls es dir in Mainz und in der WG gefällt, du natürlich auch unbefristet bleiben kannst. Das bedeutet auch, dass du dann mit mir und meinem Partner Jonas zusammenwohnst.
Gleichzeitig besteht auch die Möglichkeit nur befristet in diesem Zimmer zu wohnen

Well, you may be wondering why I didn't upload the ad just for sublease. There is the option that you can also live in the shared flat for a longer period of time. Aaron will be moving out this year. I'll move into his room, so that if you like Mainz and the shared flat, you can of course stay indefinitely. That also means that you will live with me and my partner Jonas.
At the same time, there is also the possibility of only staying for a limited period of time.
