Your future room (22 sqm, Room 3) is located in a shared flat (together with two other student bed rooms) in “Rheinvorlandstraße 10” in Mannheim. The room with its outstanding view (8th floor) is fully furnished with a bed, a hanging rail, a dresser, a desk and a chair. For a smooth start in Mannheim, we will supply you with a pillow and duvet – you don’t need to block your luggage with voluminous household items.
The shared kitchen is fully equipped (stove, baking oven, dishwasher, etc.) and offers a small table with a nice view on Mannheim’s port. Apart from that, there is a bathroom with a shower and a separate toilet; allowing for maximum flexibility in all flat mates’ morning routines.

Have a look at Google Maps (Link: https://bit.ly/2KW1wDq) and convince yourself of the flat’s outstanding location: directly at Mannheim university, within short walking distance to both the city centers of Mannheim and Ludwigshafen, only some few steps away from bars and good food in Jungbusch (Mannheim’s trendiest neighborhood), few meters to the green areas surrounding the Rhine and close to supermarkets… No reason ever to be bored during your stay in Mannheim!
Living together
You will be living in a shared flat with two other students. One of them is Julian, who is living in room 2. The other one is Madeline, who lives in room 1.

As I also studied abroad several times, I know about the difficulties of not finding accommodation from afar. Since the first “personal” meeting is essential for both (you and me), a skype call (or facetime, whatsapp video call, etc.) is a must. Personal visits are not necessary.
The monthly rental fee amounts to 470€ (all inclusive) and includes rent for the room as well as for the furniture, average ancillary costs (such as water, electricity and heating), wifi, and – as mentioned above – a pillow and duvet.
The full deposit is 900€. Of these 900€, the first half (i.e., 450€) must be paid immediately after signing the contract. The other half (i.e., 450€) must be paid together with the first monthly rental fee. After moving out, the consumption of water, electricity and heating will be checked. If it (by far!) exceeds average consumption, keys are lost, or some furniture is damaged or lost, we will retain adequate parts of the deposit. Nonetheless, the deposit will be paid back very promptly after your departure.
