In our 4 person WG, there will be a room available from January 1 2024. The room faces east so if you're a sucker for that early morning sun the room will suit you perfectly. Plus it's relatively colder during the summer which is great! The room is 9m², and the monthly rent is 394 € (rent + utilities). Utilities may however change a bit depending on usage and energy prices. The kaution (deposit) is around 825 €. You will also have to pay a buy-in share of around 150 € for WG appliances (we for example just got a brand new washing machine). Unless you make a huge hole somewhere in the WG you'll get the kaution back upon moving out as well as the buy-in share for appliances (with a depreciation rate of around 10 % per annum). The room is not furnished, so you'd have to bring your own furniture. Common areas include a bathroom, kitchen, hallway and a balcony. Note that we do not have a shared living room, and the kitchen is relatively small so you should be comfortable with tiny living ;-) (if someone moves out it is however posible to get a bigger room).
The apartment is located in Laim, a very mellow area. The S-Bahn, U-Bahn and Tram are all within 5-10 minutes walking distance. There are supermarkets, restaurants, cafes and anything else the heart desires close by - including Hirschgarten and the beautiful Nymphenburger Schlosspark.
Unfortunately we have to say goodbye to the WGs earth and soil master and all time climate fighter, Mishelle. So you'll have to make do with Jakob (29), Kimbu (33) and Søren (32). Jakob is the blues master of the house and like to jam on his acoustic guitar, and you might already be familiar with him if you're familiar with Munich's blues jam scene. When Jakob is not bluesing around he is studying hard for his economics exams (master of economics). Jakob is also the only propper meat lover in the house - Kimbu and Søren prefer them veggies. Kimbu is our Hausmutti, always dancing (at least always on Tuesdays). Kimbu is a huge fan of wildlife and is always down for organising a donation for some rare bird. Kimbu is however a lesser fan of her PhD which she is working on writing up (biology). Søren is the other music connoisseur in the house, always listening to jazz, or other amazing music (both when and when he isn't running regressions). When Søren is not jazzing around he is working on his PhD (political science).
As our new roommate it is vitally important for us to know if and why you prefer (1) whatever with chicken (2) whatever with sweet potatoes, or a (3) yummy salad?
