We are renting our 18 m2 spacious room, with a lot of natural light coming from the 2 large windows.
Anyway, you might spend 90 % of your time in the great community rooms of the flat (living room, kitchen, gallery, terrace, sauna, or balcony). The room is also the one on the further corner of the apartment which gives you a lot of privacy for some good sleep.
The flat is located right above the Schoppershof metro station, but don’t worry you will not hear it anytime (U2 line going to the airport or Hbf), thus walking to the metro takes less than a minute. Metro to the city centre or airport takes about 10 minutes.
A supermarket is also 1 minute away.
The Stadtpark is very close as well, less than 10 minutes walking distance.
There are multiple bars and restaurants nearby, offering a wide variety of food (from local food to sushi to excellent Mexican food etc.).
Unfortunately Tomás, our Portuguese flat member, is leaving the flat for new adventures, so we are in need of a new flatmate.
The flat consists of a very open, fun and friendly bunch, both German and international. We have one German, Brazilian, Italian and French person living with us. What you can be assured of, is inclusion and open communication. The flat has a history of hosting amazing parties, hangouts and activities together and with friends. Let me break down the vibe a bit more by introducing the flatmates:
Rebecca - our Brazilian newbie who loves music and movies and reading. With a lot of energy she will put you moving in seconds. She is a lawyer and after some year working decided to study again to reach her future goals she came to Germany.
Carol - our resident Italian who loves animals, nature, sports, gym, mountain biking, dancing and other adventurous things. She will make you vegan pasta and is extremely strict on what is allowed on a pizza. She moved to Nuremberg to work at Adidas but you will realise that yourself once you see her shoe collection.
Fabi - is a founder by heart and loves to evaluate and try out new ideas all the time. Beside that he is open for everything that involves fun, food, sport and music. He is a piano player who will surprise you from time to time with a private concert in the living room.
Frank - He is our French football player coming from Normandie. Besides playing football, he is working on his German. Currently he is working as an engineer in a steam power plant in the south of Nuremberg.
These are just some short introductions but there are of course a billion things more to find out ;-)
Some more details to the flat:
From our experience, tidiness in the communal areas and proactivity and communications are key to a great co-living experience.
The sauna can be used at any time, though as agreed with the flat - if used, we have a tip list for the electricity bill.
Likely music taste you will hear around the house: Electronic music (from disco vibes to techno in the evenings), dad songs (Frank Sinatra, old music) and Latin vibes (Cuba Libre kind-of)
You can contact me for viewings by sending a small description of yourself including hobbies, job, what you can bring to the flat as a flatmate.
