Dear all,
As my long-term flatmate has spontaneously found an apartment in Berlin, I am facing a major restructuring of my usual flat-sharing life after almost six years.
I, Anna (29, sustainability manager), have a 15 m² room in Potsdam-Babelsberg to sublet starting June 1.
The room is on the east side of the house and faces the street. It has a floor-to-ceiling window and is therefore often sunny. The room is rather rectangular in shape and the thermal blinds, a curtain rail and the lamp remain in the room. The wardrobe could also be taken over.
My flatmate would like to agree a down payment of €300 for the larger joint purchases during the time we spend together (fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, etc.). There are no additional costs for the things that remain in the room.
The room costs €318 per month. The rent already includes all calculable additional costs, so there are no further costs for you, unless there are previously discussed changes.
The deposit is €400.
The apartment consists of three rooms and was previously a 3-room shared flat. The current flatmate in the third room is usually only in the apartment occasionally for work and is moving out at the end of August. The plan was for the third room to be converted into a living and guest room after that. I would like to stick to this plan. So please note that the price quoted only refers to the current situation and will increase by around €150 from September. However, I will explain this to you in more detail when we meet.
The apartment is located in beautiful Babelsberg on the second floor of a new building (with elevator) and is well connected. There are several bus lines around the corner from the apartment, the S-Bahn is less than ten minutes away and it doesn't take long to get to the main train station either.
There are various shopping facilities (Aldi, Netto, Rewe, Edeka, Lidl) within a radius of one kilometer.
The parking situation can be difficult and requires some patience - but you can also get around easily without a car and by public transport or bicycle.
You fit in with me if you...
- don't just want to live together for the limited purpose of sharing a flat
- have a sense of humor.
- are open-minded and tolerant.
- are in your mid-20s to late 30s.
- know how a cleaning plan works and have heard of waste separation ;)
About me: I like to be active, but I'm also enthusiastic about games or movie nights, I'm a volunteer at the German Red Cross as a paramedic and I occasionally walk around the apartment singing, especially when I'm cooking or cleaning.
As I'm currently studying part-time alongside my work, I don't spend that much time at home, but I'm definitely not a fan of a purpose-built flat share.
I enjoy a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where personal boundaries are respected and problems are communicated openly. If the opportunity arises, I also think it's great to sit together, chat, eat together or play a game from time to time.
It's no problem if you bring visitors, but I'm not a fan of big house parties.
Does the ad sound interesting and do you think you would fit in with me? Then please send me a message. I look forward to getting to know you!
Best regards
Anna
PS, how do you feel about dogs? I'm not going to get my own at the moment, but will probably look after a Akita Inu from time to time.
