The room has 12 square meters, is very bright and although the apartment is on the fifth floor, it is very cool in summer. You look directly into the green and have your privacy. Because the room is facing west, the sun only shines in the evening.
The room is furnished with a desk, desk chair, wardrobe, shelf, dresser and bed. However, the desk chair is not the same as in the picture (but also black). You will buy the furniture from me for EUR 350. The armchair and the electronic devices as well as the decoration are also not included, but I'm sure you have your own.
The whole apartment has 98 square meters with its own kitchen, bathroom, toilet and small storage room. Our personal highlight is the balcony, which faces directly into the green.
We also have a dishwasher and a washing machine in the apartment, so less work in the household :D. In addition there is a microwave, stove, refrigerator and everything a student's heart desires.
In the hallway and in the storage room there are also additional storage possibilities for all your things you need to feel good.
We will rent a second room. It is 24 sqm big and will cost 390€, if you want to move in with a friend.
The apartment is located directly at the university, in approximately 4-5 walking minutes you are in the middle of the campus. And the bus stop "Hochschule" is also a maximum of 2 minutes walk away. There, the bus lines 4 and 11 go directly into the city. Nearby are also a Penny, Edeka, a Döner and an Asian restaurant, a pharmacy and a Bancomat, all within 6 minutes walking distance.
Behind the university there are pretty fields where you can go for a walk or jog if you want to and other offers from the university, such as the university sports, are also within 3 minutes.
So if you have forgotten something for the university at home, you can go home quickly during a break.
I'm the one who's moving out, but I'll try to explain everything to you as it will be with you :)
At the moment I'm living with a German and two Italians in the WG, until recently there was someone from Ecuador. As you can see, we are very international. But don't worry, we all speak German and English, and the others of course Italian and Spanish.
I myself study at the University of Textile and Design, the others are at the ESB and study International Management or International Industrial Engineering and Management.
In the shared flat we often cooked or ate together and watched films and series. We also like to chat together or just have a glass of wine. Because of the pandemic we couldn't really go out to party the last months. But since the student dormitories are across the street, there is always something going on there. Especially at the beginning and end of the semester we were always there and would definitely take you there if you feel like it.
Since the house is very quiet and we are the only WG there, we didn't really party, if only on a small scale. But of course you can bring friends over.
During the exams it is always a little bit quieter in our house, which is understandable as everybody is focused. So here the quiet location is definitely an advantage and as I said, on the other side of the street you will always find a party!
Of course everyone wants to retreat to his room, that is quite normal. So don't worry that someone will burst into your room when you don't feel like it.
Since the bathroom and toilet are separate, we don't get in each other's way in the morning and evening, so no unnecessary time stress in the morning because someone blocks the bathroom.
As you might have noticed, we are rather looking for someone who doesn't necessarily want to live in a shared flat.
Our landlady is super nice and can speak both English and German, so it's ideal if you have a little trouble with speaking German.
I have taken care of the WiFi and will continue the contract through my roommate. For internet and telephony you would pay a monthly fee of EUR 5,--.
Unfortunately, the GEZ also applies. The monthly fee will be EUR 4,38 (EUR 17,50 / 4 residents).
We also have a storage basement and a bicycle store room. If you have a car, there are also large parking spaces at the apartment.
This is a girls' flat-share and expressly so desired by the landlady. So if we have awakened your interest, then you should only contact us if you are female :)
We look forward to hearing from you!
See you soon, Josi, Sabri, Chiara and Toni
