Hey everyone,
This is Anshu, and I am leaving Germany after completing my internship. My room is available for longterm lease (it would be preferred if you want to stay for atleast 6 months).
It's a room with a private balcony in a 3 room shared apartment on the first floor. The landlords are an old couple that live downstairs. You have a fully functional kitchen, a hallway, and a shared bathroom. There is a washing machine in the basement, and the landlords maintain a garden too! The highlights of the room are the beautiful views and the balcony you will have all to yourself - they were the main reason I moved in. On clear nights you can literally sleep looking at the stars. Just to clarify, the room area of 11 m2 doesn't include the balcony.
The room is completely furnished. I paid the previous for everything when I moved in 5 months ago and I have further added things of my own. So, I will need the money back from whoever moves in next. You have the barbeque, bed, mattress, study table, office chair, wardrobe, bed side table, dresser, a couple of mirrors and a lot of miscellaneous things like weighing machine, cloth stand, table lamp, yoga mat, etc (basically everything that I won't be able to fit in my bag).
The extra costs include everything like the electricity, heating costs, wifi, radio tax. You're also paying for common household items like tissue and cleaning materials in this amount.
The house is situated in a very beautiful and quiet locality in Sillenbuch. There is a bus stop (Fridinger strasse) right in front of the house which takes 5 minutes to go to the Sillenbuch U-bahn station. You can also walk directly to the U-bahn station in 10-15 minutes. From the Sillenbuch U-bahn, it takes around 15 minutes to reach Hauptbahnhof or 20 mins to reach Vahingen. There are multiple shops, like Edeka, Apothekes and bakeries near the Sillenbuch station and if you go one U stop further, there are even more options like Netto, DM etc.
Th best part is that you can walk 10 minutes away from the house and enter a hilly region which is ideal for short hikes. I've attached a couples of photos. But at the same time, you can party late at night and get home comfortably with the night bus that runs from mitte to Sillenbuch.
It's not an all-purpose flatshare. We really get along with each other and would want to continue that environment. Your flat-mates will be Koji and Yannick. Koji, currently 25, is Japanese and doing his masters in crop science at the University of Hohenheim. He plays volleyball, likes watching anime and cooks very often. Yannick, is an 18 year old German who recently moved in. He started his bachelor's at HdM and loves videogames. He also enjoys programming and cooking. It's not a "party wg" as it's a quiet residential locality. So, no loud music at 1 am with 20 drunk people in the house. However, we do get together often for spontaneous wine nights and in the summer you can host barbeques in your balcony!
Since Koji cannot speak German, we are looking for someone who's fluent with English. Internationals are highly welcome!
I would say the flat is ideal for someone who likes a quiet space to call home. You should like to keep things clean and have to be outgoing so that all of you have a nice relationship when living together. We would like to meet you, online or offline, for the viewing and to get to know each other.
Please reach out to me by email - . I will try to get back as soon as possible.
Looking forward to meeting you!
