Our flat is located on the first floor of an old house in the historic city of Tübingen. Our WG has a separate living room and a cosy kitchen with a dining table and a corner bench. Our entrance hall is spacious and offers enough space to store shoes, jackets and other stuff.
Your future room is located at the end of our hallway, is about 11m2 big (or small, however you want to interpret it). It contains a build in closet which gives you additional storage space and spares you an extra wardrobe.
The kitchen has everything you need, including a dishwasher and a small storage room for food, kitchen stuff and waste bins. Obviously there is also a bathroom with shower and washbasin which is accessible through the kitchen (that's quite typical for Tübinger historic buildings). The toilet, a second washbasin and the washing machine are located in a separate bathroom.
It doesn’t get any better! You will live in the middle of the old-town in the Nonnengasse. The various range of leisure and shopping facilities couldn’t be better: lots of small cafés, Stadtpost und Jäger (for some pleasant drinks in the evenings), from Collegium and Schwarzes Schaf (to party) to the library and a small art gallery is almost everything just around the corner. The next grocery store is in the Nonnenhaus (an Edeka, a bakery and a dm). Besides that the Vortagsbäcker, an Alnatura and some little Bio-grocery stores are just in the neighborhood. Only to the Rewe in the western part of the city or to the Aldi in the southern part it will take you 15 minutes walking.
Busses to the main train station you can catch from the Nonnenhaus (3 min on foot). Busses to the university and the hospitals are leaving from the Wilhelmstraße, which is no longer than 4 min on foot. The main train station is reachable within 15 minutes walking or 5 min by bike. If you’re coming by car it’s no problem to park in the Parkhaus Altstadt-Mitte (100m from our home).
You are going to live together with me (Semih) and my flatmate Conny.
We always have been an international WG, so it would be important for us that you are able to speak English (doesn't have to be perfect at all!). At the moment I am doing my PhD in astrophysics, that's the reason why I am out of the house most of the day. Conny is working a lot, has probably one of the shortest distances to her working place and is therefore from time to time during the day at home for her breaks.
In the evenings at the latest we're coming together at home. There is always a communal and cosy atmosphere, time to cook and eat together or to watch a movie in the living room. Nevertheless, there is at all times the possibility to take your personal space. The atmosphere in the neighbourhood is as open-hearted as it is in our whole house. That is why we are allowed to use the cellar to store our bicycle, etc.
It would be nice if you are looking for a long-term stay and not just a traditional one! A clean and tidy flat is very important to us. That worked out quite nicely due to a weekly rotating cleaning plan.

The extra costs that are mentioned above refer to the shared GEZ-charge and the WI-FI we are all using together. If you feel addressed by us and our WG just text us here and tell us a little bit about you.

P.S. Move-in date looks like 1st of September but it can be after 15th of August as well.
